Business Intelligence Intern

ROLE SUMMARY
VECTRA International is seeking a high-caliber, analytical Business Intelligence Intern to join our global team. Key Responsibilities
Dashboarding & Visualization
● Assist in building and maintaining dashboards and reports in Zoho Analytics.
● Support the design of executive, departmental, and operational reporting views.
● Help create charts, pivot views, KPI widgets, and summary tables.
● Assist with dashboard formatting, layout, and brand consistency.

Data Preparation & Modelling
● Assist with importing, syncing, and refreshing data sources into Zoho Analytics.
● Support the creation of query tables, calculated fields, and aggregate formulas.
● Help maintain table relationships and the underlying reporting data model.
● Assist in cleaning, standardizing, and structuring datasets for analysis.
● Support the removal of duplicate, outdated, and unused reports and tables.

Business Analysis & Insights
● Assist in analysing sales pipeline, operational, and process performance data.
● Support funnel, conversion, cohort, and trend analysis across departments.
● Help identify patterns, gaps, and anomalies in business data.
● Prepare summaries and commentary explaining what the data shows.
● Conduct research and benchmarking to support analysis requests.

Data Quality & Governance
● Assist in auditing records for missing, duplicated, or inconsistent data.
● Support root cause investigation when reported figures appear incorrect.
● Help maintain KPI definitions so metrics stay consistent across reports.
● Assist in documenting data sources, logic, and dashboard ownership.
● Support data validation checks before reports are shared with stakeholders.

Reporting Operations & Coordination
● Support recurring reporting cycles, including weekly and monthly business reviews.
● Assist with reporting requests from Sales, Operations, HR, and other departments.
● Help track reporting tasks, timelines, and deliverables.
● Support cross-functional collaboration with the Automation and CRM streams.
● Assist in preparing data and visuals for leadership presentations.

Requirements
● Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
● Working knowledge of at least one BI or dashboarding tool.
● Basic to intermediate SQL, including joins, filters, and aggregations.
● Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables and lookup formulas.
● Solid analytical fundamentals, including percentages, rates, trends, and basic statistics.
● Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling data.
● Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain findings clearly.
● Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a remote environment.
● Comfortable using Google Workspace or Microsoft Office.
● Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn.
● Able to handle confidential business and client data responsibly.
● Hands-on experience with Zoho Analytics.
● Familiarity with Zoho CRM or another CRM data model.
● Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
● Basic Python or R for data cleaning and analysis.
● Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude.
● Familiarity with project management tools such as Zoho Projects, Asana, Trello, or Monday.com.
