About the job

About Metry AI

Metry AI is building an AI-powered operating system for beauty businesses.

We are looking for a QA & Product Testing Intern who will work closely with our Product and Engineering teams to continuously test Metry AI, identify bugs, reproduce issues, and verify fixes.

This is a hands-on role. You will use the actual product every day and help us make Metry AI more reliable and production-ready.

What You Will Do

1. Daily Product Testing

  • Use Metry AI on a daily basis as a real user.
  • Test core features including:

    • Booking
    • Customer management
    • Staff management
    • Payments
    • AI tool
    • Instagram / social integrations
    • Notifications
    • Dashboard and analytics
  • Test new features before they are released.

  • Perform regression testing after major changes.

2. Find & Reproduce Bugs

When you find a problem, you will:

  • Identify exactly what went wrong.
  • Reproduce the issue consistently.
  • Record the steps required to reproduce it.
  • Determine expected vs. actual behavior.
  • Collect screenshots, screen recordings, logs, and other useful information.
  • Identify the severity and impact of the issue.

3. Debugging & Issue Investigation

You will work with engineers to investigate bugs.

Depending on your technical ability, you may:

  • Inspect browser console errors.
  • Check API responses.
  • Test API endpoints.
  • Inspect network requests.
  • Review database-related behavior.
  • Read application logs.
  • Identify frontend vs. backend issues.
  • Help narrow down the root cause.
  • Verify that an engineering fix actually resolves the problem.

You do not need to be an expert engineer from day one. We value the ability to systematically investigate problems and learn quickly.

4. Verify Engineering Fixes

After developers fix an issue:

  • Reproduce the original bug.
  • Confirm that the bug has been resolved.
  • Test related functionality.
  • Check for regressions.
  • Report whether the fix is ready for release.

5. Improve Product Quality

You will help us build a systematic QA process, including:

  • Test cases
  • Regression test checklists
  • Bug reporting standards
  • Release testing procedures
  • Edge-case testing
  • User-flow testing

You will have a direct impact on the quality of the product.

What We Are Looking For

Required

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Logical and systematic problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to reproduce problems accurately.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Willingness to use the product repeatedly and test edge cases.
  • Ability to clearly document bugs.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment.
  • Ability to learn technical tools quickly.

Technical Skills : Plus

Experience with any of the following is a strong advantage:

  • JavaScript / TypeScript
  • React / Next.js
  • REST APIs
  • Postman
  • Browser DevTools
  • Git / GitHub
  • MongoDB
  • SQL
  • API debugging
  • Automated testing
  • Playwright / Cypress
  • AI applications / LLM products

You do not need to know all of these.

Who Would Be a Good Fit?

You may be a strong candidate if you are the type of person who naturally asks:

> "Why did this happen?"

instead of simply saying:

> "It doesn't work."

For example, if a booking fails, we want you to investigate:

  1. What action caused the failure?
  2. Can I reproduce it?
  3. Does it happen every time?
  4. Does it happen for every user?
  5. Is it frontend, backend, API, database, or integration related?
  6. What information can I provide to the engineer to fix it faster?
  7. After the fix, does the entire workflow still work?

This mindset is more important to us than having a long list of technical skills.

What You Will Learn

  • Software QA and testing methodology
  • Debugging real production software
  • SaaS product development
  • AI product testing
  • API and backend debugging
  • Product development workflows
  • GitHub / issue tracking
  • Working directly with engineers and product managers
  • How an AI startup ships products from development to production

Why Join Metry AI?

This is not a traditional internship where you only perform repetitive testing.

You will work directly with the Product and Engineering team and see how an AI SaaS product is built, tested, debugged, and shipped.

If you perform well, there is potential to take on greater responsibility in:

  • QA Engineering
  • Test Automation
  • Product Engineering
  • AI Product Development
  • Product Management
