We’re hiring a senior product engineer to own features across our React/Electron client, Cloudflare-backed APIs, PostgreSQL data layer, real-time streaming, and production LLM integrations. This is an applied engineering role: you’ll ship reliable AI product experiences, not train foundation models.
What you’ll do
- Design, build, and ship features across our Electron desktop app, React interface, TypeScript backend services, and PostgreSQL database.
- Improve our real-time audio, transcription, WebSocket, and streaming paths for low latency and reliability.
- Integrate LLM and speech-AI providers into production workflows.
- Own technical decisions from product discovery through deployment, observability, and iteration.
- Strengthen performance, security, and privacy across the product.
- Turn customer feedback into polished features with a small, fast-moving team.
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years of product software engineering experience.
- Strong TypeScript, React, backend API, and PostgreSQL skills.
- Experience owning features across frontend and backend systems.
- Sound product judgment, clear communication, and comfort working independently in a distributed team.
- A practical approach to testing, reliability, and maintainable software.
Especially valuable
- Electron or other desktop application experience.
- WebSockets, streaming systems, or real-time audio.
- Cloudflare Workers or similar edge/serverless platforms.
- Production LLM, speech recognition, or speech-AI integrations.
AI product experience is valuable, but ML research experience is not required. We need an applied product engineer who can turn modern AI capabilities into a fast, dependable experience for customers.
Location and compensation
This is a remote role open to candidates worldwide. The annual salary range is $150,000–$230,000 USD, depending on location and experience, with 0.1%–0.5% equity available.
