About the job
Technical Account Manager (Delivery Oversight Focus) USA
Location: United States (remote)
Full Time
Department: Professional Services
Our Mission
At Trantor everything starts and ends with our mission: Being the cybersecurity partner of choice, protecting our digital way of life. We have the vision of a world where each day is safer and more secure than the one before.
Your Career
As Technical Account Manager: Delivery Focus, you will provide technical oversight across Trantor's vended technical services engagements and staff augmentation placements for a book of United States-based enterprise clients. You will be accountable for the technical quality, scope integrity, and delivery health of every engagement and contractor placement in your accounts, regardless of platform or technology practice. You will work closely with Technical Services Delivery Leaders and the Practice Lead to monitor delivery risk, validate that staffing and staff augmentation placements are technically sound, and step in as a technical escalation point when engagements are off track. You will maintain enough visibility into the client relationship to inform good technical and staffing decisions, while day-to-day commercial ownership is shared with Sales and the Practice Lead. This role suits someone who wants to stay close to the technical substance of delivery and staffing while also understanding how that work rolls up to account health.
Your Impact
- Own technical oversight for an assigned portfolio of United States enterprise accounts spanning multiple technology platforms, practices, and staff augmentation lines of business
- Monitor the technical quality, scope integrity, and delivery health of every project-based engagement and staff augmentation placement in the portfolio
- Partner with Technical Services Delivery Leaders and the Practice Lead to review engagement scoping, statements of work, and staffing plans for technical accuracy and feasibility before commitment
- Validate the technical fit and skills alignment of contractors and consultants placed through staff augmentation, partnering with recruiting and staffing operations on technical vetting
- Serve as a technical point of escalation when engagements or placements are at risk, coordinating with the relevant Delivery Leader or Practice Lead to get them back on track
- Monitor contractor performance on staff augmentation placements from a technical standpoint, and flag performance or skills-fit issues early
- Track delivery and staffing quality metrics across the portfolio, including technical time to value, engagement health, and contractor performance, and drive corrective action when they slip
- Ensure staff augmentation placements comply with contingent labor requirements, including co-employment guidelines, timesheet and invoicing accuracy, and client-specific technical onboarding requirements
- Maintain working visibility into account relationships and client environments, in coordination with Sales and the Practice Lead, so that technical and staffing decisions reflect the client's actual needs
- Contribute technical input to renewal, expansion, and staffing conversations led by Sales and the Practice Lead, without owning the primary commercial relationship
- Report portfolio-level delivery and staffing health to Trantor leadership on a regular cadence
- Maintain working knowledge of US regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to clients (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA, NIST, FedRAMP) to inform technical and staffing decisions
- Travel to client meetings and business reviews across the United States as needed (10 to 20%)
Your Experience
- 5+ years of hands-on technical experience in cybersecurity or enterprise technology delivery, such as SIEM, SOC, EDR, Cloud, or SOAR engineering or architecture, sufficient to evaluate delivery quality and technical fit firsthand
- Experience overseeing or reviewing technical work across multiple engagements or platforms, including quality checks, scoping review, or technical risk assessment
- Experience vetting technical talent, whether through hiring, staff augmentation, or contractor placement, including assessing skills alignment against client requirements
- Working knowledge of staff augmentation and contingent labor program mechanics, including fill rates, contractor extensions and conversions, and familiarity with VMS or MSP staffing systems
- Understanding of contingent labor compliance considerations in the US, including co-employment risk, worker classification, and timesheet or invoicing accuracy
- Working familiarity with US enterprise client environments and relevant compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA, NIST, FedRAMP)
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical delivery status and risk clearly to both engineers and business stakeholders
- Based and authorized to work in the United States, with the ability to travel domestically
Nice to have:
- Some exposure to commercial account management (renewals, margin, scoping conversations)
- Relevant technical certifications: vendor-specific security certifications, CISSP, or equivalent
