About the job
Description
Intelligence Security Laboratories is a new and fast-growing non-profit working at the intersection of AI and security. We're a small, ambitious team scaling quickly, and we're looking for an infrastructure engineer to build on the foundation that supports our growth. In this role, you'll design, deploy, secure, and maintain the IT and network infrastructure our organization runs on—from custom LAN and VPN configurations to containerized services to hardened, secure workstations. Because we're building largely from scratch in a security-sensitive environment, you'll make foundational architecture decisions early and own them as we scale. We're looking for someone with strong experience across computer networks, operating systems, and cybersecurity who's comfortable with ambiguity and motivated to build and maintain robust systems to support our growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and deploy complex networks including custom LAN and VPN configurations.
- Deploy and monitor various services to be used by employees and associates. (requires intimate knowledge of containerization)
- Build custom operating system and workstation configurations within the network to ensure practical security while maintaining efficient workflows.
- Ensure high availability by maintaining backup systems and recovery procedures.
- Generate and maintain accurate documentation of all systems and configurations.
- Provide support for connectivity and availability problems.
- Collaborate with developers, infrastructure engineers, and other non-technical team members to support a high efficiency, secure workflow.
