About the job
We are looking for an experienced, well-networked Business Development Professional in Australia to open doors, build pipeline and close new business on a commission basis.
This is not a salaried role. It is a partnership: you bring the relationships and the hunting instinct, we bring the delivery capability, accreditations, panel memberships and pre-built collateral. You keep a meaningful share of what you win, including recurring revenue.
This role suits someone already active in the ANZ technology market - a consultant, fractional sales leader, channel veteran or ex-vendor salesperson — who wants an additional income stream without giving up their independence.
What You’ll Do
• Generate and qualify new business across government, NFP, education and mid-market accounts in Australia and New Zealand
• Identify and pursue tender, panel and quotation opportunities via VendorPanel, buy.nsw, Tenders SA, TenderLink and similar channels
• Build and work a targeted outbound campaign — LinkedIn, referral, industry events and your existing network
• Sell across the full portfolio, not a single product line: platform implementation, managed services, digital and CMS work, testing and QA
• Run first conversations and discovery, then bring in our solution and delivery team for demonstrations and scoping
• Work with the Director on bid strategy, pricing and proposal positioning
• Represent HTC Global professionally with our vendor partners and support joint go-to-market activity
• Maintain accurate pipeline and activity records so commission attribution is clean and undisputed
What You’ll Bring
• 3+ years selling IT services, SaaS or managed services into the Australian market
• An existing, warm network in government, not-for-profit, education or mid-market IT
• Comfort operating in a techno-commercial role: you can hold a credible conversation about service management, digital platforms, integrations and delivery models without being an engineer
• Familiarity with Australian public sector procurement — panels, EOIs, RFIs, RFTs — is a strong advantage
• Confident written and verbal communication; you can write a clean follow-up email and hold a room in a first meeting
• The right to work in Australia
• Self-directed. Nobody will be checking your calendar; results are the measure
Experience with Freshworks, Zendesk, ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, Sitecore or comparable platforms is highly regarded but not essential.
