About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Principal DevOps / Cloud Platform Engineer with 9–12 years of hands-on experience to design, automate, and scale our core cloud infrastructure.

In this role, you will lead the evolution of our cloud ecosystem, driving Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices, streamlining CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring our platform architecture is secure, resilient, and highly scalable.

What You’ll Do

• Cloud Architecture & Automation: Architect, deploy, and maintain high-availability cloud infrastructure across AWS or Azure using Terraform or Ansible.
• Automation & Scripting: Write clean, maintainable Python and Bash/Shell scripts to automate operational workflows, deployment steps, and system maintenance.
• DevOps Culture & Strategy: Drive best practices across CI/CD pipeline automation, infrastructure monitoring, compliance, and disaster recovery.
• Platform Security & Reliability: Enforce security policies, optimize cloud costs, and ensure zero-downtime operations for mission-critical production systems.
• Technical Leadership: Collaborate with software engineering teams, establish infrastructure standards, and mentor mid-level engineers.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: 9–12 years of dedicated hands-on experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Cloud Architecture.
• Cloud & IaC Expertise: Strong expertise in AWS or Azure services combined with extensive experience in Terraform or Ansible.
• Scripting Mastery: Fluent in Python and Bash/Shell for system automation and tool development.
• Mandatory Certification: Active AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional OR Azure DevOps Engineer Expert certification.
• Problem Solver: Proven capability in managing production incidents, capacity planning, and building resilient distributed systems.

Nice to Haves

• Deep understanding of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS/AKS).
• Experience with cloud cost optimization (FinOps) and security compliance frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with modern observability platforms (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
