Chief Technology Officer

About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to take full ownership of
the company’s technology function. This is a founding-level technical leadership role for
someone who can define the technology vision, build and ship the product, establish the
engineering function, and scale the technology platform as the business grows.
You will own the technology stack end to end—from AI/ML systems and data
infrastructure to backend, frontend, cloud infrastructure, and customer-facing
applications. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable writing production code, making
architectural decisions, and partnering with founders on product and business strategy.

Key Responsibilities
• Own the overall technology strategy, architecture, engineering roadmap, and
technical vision.
• Build and ship production-grade solutions across the full technology stack,
including frontend, backend, infrastructure, databases, and data platforms.
• Design, develop, train, deploy, and continuously improve AI/ML systems that are
core to the product.
• Make pragmatic build-vs-buy, technology, tooling, architecture, and scalability
decisions.
• Establish engineering best practices, development standards, code quality
processes, and technical governance.
• Build and lead the early engineering team, including hiring, mentoring,
performance management, and establishing the technical culture.
• Work closely with founders and product leadership to define product priorities,
technical feasibility, roadmap, and execution strategy.
• Take direct ownership of critical technical initiatives and remain hands-on with
development where required.
• Design technology solutions that can scale reliably as the customer base, product
capabilities, and engineering team grow.
• Balance speed of execution with long-term technical sustainability, knowing
when to move quickly, defer complexity, or invest in foundational architecture.

What We’re Looking For
• Proven experience delivering production-grade software as a Senior Engineer,
Engineering Lead, Technical Founder, CTO, or equivalent senior technical role.
• Strong hands-on experience with AI/ML, including building, training, deploying, and
operating models in real-world products.
• Strong full-stack engineering capabilities, with the ability to work across frontend,
backend, infrastructure, APIs, databases, and cloud environments.
• Demonstrated ability to take end-to-end ownership of technology and deliver
outcomes with minimal oversight.
• Strong architectural and technical judgment, particularly around scalability,
reliability, security, performance, and maintainability.
• Ability to translate product and business requirements into practical technical
solutions.
• Proven ability to operate effectively in an early-stage or high-ambiguity
environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to build a small, high-performing engineering
team and establish a high technical bar.
• Pragmatic, product-minded approach with a bias toward execution,
experimentation, and measurable outcomes.

Nice to Have
• Previous experience as a technical founder, CTO, or early-stage startup leader.
• Experience taking a technology product from 0 → 1 and subsequently scaling it.
• Experience building and scaling engineering teams from an early-stage environment.
• Strong expertise in LLMs, generative AI, agentic AI, or modern AI/ML
architectures.
• Experience designing and scaling data platforms, data pipelines, or data
intensive applications.
• Experience working in a fast-moving startup where technology decisions have a
direct impact on product and business growth.
