Quant Fusion is transforming how manufacturers, distributors, and wholesalers manage the order-to-cash process. Our platform eliminates fragmented workflows, improves operational efficiency, and helps customers accelerate cash flow through intelligent automation.
We are preparing to onboard our first production customer and have an ambitious roadmap centered on AI, automation, and enterprise-grade software. We’re entering the next stage of the company—moving from a promising product to a scalable, secure, multi-tenant SaaS business.

The Opportunity
We’re not looking for another developer.
We’re looking for a proven startup builder who has helped transform an early-stage SaaS product into a scalable business and wants to do it again.
You’ll work directly with the founder as a trusted technical partner, helping shape product strategy, technical direction, architecture, engineering execution, and AI innovation. You’ll have significant influence over the company’s future while remaining hands-on enough to solve difficult technical challenges.
This role combines responsibilities typically shared across a CTO, Head of Product, and senior/staff-level engineering lead in an early-stage startup.

What You’ll Do
Technical Leadership & Architecture
• Strengthen the architecture as the platform scales from MVP to multi-tenant enterprise deployments
• Set technical direction and document key architecture decisions
• Assess database design, scalability, performance, and AI readiness
• Design robust tenant isolation, role/permission models, and auditability
• Identify technical debt, bottlenecks, and architectural risks
• Establish pragmatic engineering standards and best practices

Product & AI Strategy
• Prioritize the AI roadmap based on customer value and business impact
• Translate product vision into clear engineering priorities
• Balance speed, quality, technical debt, and customer requirements
• Identify where RAG, vector search, semantic models, agents, and other AI capabilities materially improve the platform

Engineering Leadership
• Partner with and mentor existing developers
• Help recruit and evaluate additional engineering talent
• Review architecture, code quality, and major technical decisions
• Improve database migrations, environments, testing, release processes, and CI/CD
• Increase engineering velocity through modern AI-assisted development

We expect this person to have fully adopted AI-first / AI-native software development practices, using Claude Code or comparable coding agents as a core part of daily engineering work rather than as an occasional productivity tool.

Platform, Scalability & Operations
• Improve data ingestion, validation, integration, and background processing
• Design event-driven and asynchronous workflows using Cloud Tasks, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Dataflow, or comparable technologies
• Improve observability, monitoring, diagnostics, and production reliability
• Strengthen authentication, authorization, secrets management, API protection, tenant isolation, and audit logging
• Help prepare the platform for enterprise security expectations and SOC 2 Type I readiness
• Troubleshoot production-system issues as they arise

Founder Partnership
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to the founder
• Independently investigate complex technical questions and present recommendations
• Convert ideas and customer needs into actionable execution plans
• Challenge assumptions constructively and explain trade-offs clearly
• Help maintain focus on the highest-impact initiatives

Required Experience
• Proven success helping build and scale an early-stage SaaS company
• Senior-level Python/FastAPI and PostgreSQL expertise
• Experience building or scaling multi-tenant SaaS applications
• Strong GCP experience or deep experience with equivalent AWS/Azure services
• Experience with authentication, authorization, tenant isolation, secrets management, and API security
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, environment separation, and release discipline
• Experience with event-driven or workflow-orchestration systems
• Enough React + TypeScript depth to own or guide full-stack delivery
• AI-first developer who has fully incorporated Claude Code or comparable coding agents into daily software-development workflows

Nice to Have
• RAG, embeddings, vector search, and enterprise AI applications
• Vertex AI, pgvector, AlloyDB, Neo4j, or semantic data modeling
• Structured-data ETL / ELT pipelines
• Manufacturing, distribution, ERP, supply chain, or order-management experience
• SOC 2, enterprise security, or compliance experience
• Experience leading distributed or offshore engineering teams
• Startup fundraising or executive technical leadership experience
