About the job
About Cooklist
Cooklist is the AI grocery-intelligence platform powering meal planning and shopping for millions of consumers across our consumer app and white-label enterprise suite. Our mission is to combine the intelligence of a personal shopper, chef, and nutritionist to help people save time, eat better, and enjoy happier lives.
We're profitable, process billions of dollars in transactions at the nation's largest retailers, and our mobile experiences reach millions of people. We're backed by Techstars, Mercury Fund, and industry leaders including the former Chief Technology Officer of a leading U.S. grocer and the former Chief Product Officer of Amazon Fresh.
Role Overview
We're hiring a Product Marketing Lead to turn Cooklist's product progress into clear, consistent market-facing execution. You will own the messaging, website updates, product launches, LinkedIn content, sales materials, demos, and customer stories that help grocers understand what Cooklist can do and why it matters.
This is a hands-on builder role, not a strategy-only position. You will personally write and ship work every week, partner closely with the founders, product, sales, and design, and create the operating cadence that keeps our story current as the product and customer base grow.
We are an AI-leveraged organization. You must be a power user of AI research, writing, and creative tools, using them to increase output while protecting Cooklist's voice, accuracy, and quality bar.
Responsibilities
*** Own product messaging: translate Cooklist's AI, personalization, commerce, and data capabilities into clear language for grocery executives, product teams, and other enterprise buyers.
*** Keep the website current: write and manage homepage, product, solution, customer, and launch-page updates as our capabilities and partnerships evolve.
*** Launch what we build: create launch plans, messaging, announcements, release content, internal briefs, and supporting assets for products and major features.
*** Enable sales: build and maintain decks, one-pagers, battlecards, demo narratives, follow-up materials, and proof points that move enterprise conversations forward.
*** Build Cooklist's voice: develop and publish founder and company LinkedIn content, turning product progress, customer insight, and industry change into a consistent point of view.
*** Create customer proof: develop customer stories, case studies, testimonials, and results narratives in partnership with customers and internal teams.
*** Tell the product visually: write demo scripts, product walkthroughs, and creative briefs; partner with design and outside specialists on polished marketing materials and video.
*** Build the PMM operating system: establish a repeatable cadence for launches, content planning, asset management, feedback, and performance measurement.
Qualifications
- You have 5+ years of product marketing experience in B2B SaaS, enterprise software, AI, data products, or another technically complex category.
- You are an exceptional writer with a portfolio of website copy, launches, sales materials, customer stories, or executive content you personally created.
- You can interview technical and commercial stakeholders, find the real value, and turn it into concise messaging for different buyers.
- You have supported enterprise sales teams and understand how positioning, proof, demos, and enablement influence complex buying decisions.
- You are highly hands-on and comfortable moving from strategic decisions to a finished draft without waiting for an agency or large team.
- You use AI tools fluently for research, synthesis, drafting, repurposing, and production while maintaining judgment and a distinctive human voice.
- You bring founder energy: high ownership, fast execution, strong taste, and a willingness to iterate until the work is excellent.
Bonus Points
- Experience in grocery, retail technology, e-commerce, marketplaces, personalization, loyalty, or consumer shopping products.
- Experience as the first or only product marketer at a startup, including building the function from scratch.
- Working knowledge of design, web publishing, analytics, video production, or content distribution.
