About the job
About Cooklist
Cooklist is the AI grocery-intelligence platform powering meal planning and shopping for millions of consumers across our consumer app and white-label enterprise suite. Our mission is to combine the intelligence of a personal shopper, chef, and nutritionist to help people save time, eat better, and enjoy happier lives.
We're profitable, process billions of dollars in transactions at the nation's largest retailers, and our mobile experiences reach millions of people. We're backed by Techstars, Mercury Fund, and industry leaders including the former Chief Technology Officer of a leading U.S. grocer and the former Chief Product Officer of Amazon Fresh.
Role Overview
We're hiring a Technical Account Manager to own the post-launch technical success of Cooklist's strategic grocery partnerships, beginning with a leading national grocer and a major regional grocer. You will be the primary conduit between partner teams and Cooklist, keeping the product healthy, partners informed, and issues moving toward resolution.
This is a relationship-led role with strong technical fluency. You will run partner meetings, demonstrate new features and admin systems, triage support issues, translate feedback into actionable product requirements, and help partners adopt more of Cooklist over a multi-year relationship.
The role is primarily virtual, with occasional travel for major planning sessions, launches, and relationship building. We are an AI-first organization. You must be a power user of AI research, analysis, writing, and automation tools, using them to prepare partner communications, synthesize feedback, investigate issues, create enablement materials, and close loops faster without sacrificing accuracy, confidentiality, or trust.
Responsibilities
- Own partner success: serve as the day-to-day owner for post-launch technical health, product adoption, communication, and follow-through across strategic grocery accounts.
- Build trusted relationships: develop strong working partnerships with product, engineering, operations, support, merchandising, and executive stakeholders.
- Run an AI-leveraged operating cadence: lead recurring account reviews; use AI to synthesize meetings and feedback, draft partner briefs and documentation, surface patterns, maintain shared plans, and track action items - while validating outputs and protecting confidential partner data.
- Demo and train: present new product capabilities, train partner teams on Cooklist's administrative systems, and create practical enablement materials and best practices.
- Manage support and escalations: own intake, triage, prioritization, communication, and closure for partner issues; reproduce problems and coordinate with Engineering when code changes are required.
- Monitor account health: track platform reliability, open issues, feature adoption, usage, partner sentiment, and agreed outcomes; intervene before problems become relationship risks.
- Represent the partner internally: synthesize feedback, separate urgent defects from product requests, write clear requirements, and advocate for priorities with Product and Engineering.
- Support retention and growth: demonstrate delivered value, coordinate successful feature rollouts, and help founders and commercial leaders identify renewal and expansion opportunities.
Qualifications
- You have 5+ years in technical account management, enterprise customer success, solutions consulting, implementation, technical product management, or a similar customer-facing technology role.
- You have owned long-term relationships with large enterprise customers and can build trust from day-to-day operators through executive stakeholders.
- You are technically fluent in SaaS platforms, APIs, data flows, integrations, admin systems, and production troubleshooting. You can inspect API requests and responses, query data, read logs, reproduce defects, and use lightweight code or scripts when appropriate.
- You can lead clear product demos and training sessions, explain technical behavior in plain language, and make complex systems feel approachable.
- You are a power user of generative AI and automation tools and can demonstrate how you use them to improve the speed and quality of research, analysis, communication, documentation, support, and follow-through.
- You run organized account cadences, manage multiple open workstreams, and close the loop reliably on support requests, feedback, and commitments.
- You know how to triage issues, gather evidence, reproduce problems, and write requirements that help engineering teams act quickly.
- You are comfortable managing expectations, communicating difficult tradeoffs, and maintaining confidence during high-priority incidents.
- You bring founder energy: customer-obsessed, resourceful, low ego, accountable, and willing to do whatever is needed to keep partners successful.
Bonus Points
- Experience in grocery, retail technology, e-commerce, loyalty, white-label consumer platforms, or another enterprise B2B2C environment.
- Experience supporting products involving product catalogs, pricing, promotions, inventory, carts, orders, or personalization.
- Prior hands-on software development experience, especially if you transitioned from engineering into technical account management, solutions engineering, technical product management, or another customer-facing technical leadership role.
Technical Environment
- Product: AI-powered grocery shopping, meal planning, personalization, and white-label consumer experiences
- Partner systems: product catalogs, pricing, promotions, inventory, identity, carts, orders, and administrative tools
- Interfaces: GraphQL and REST APIs; real-time streaming over WebSockets
- Internal collaboration: Product, Engineering, AI, ML, Design, Support, Sales, and company leadership
