About APOLO P2P

APOLO P2P is the first global peer-to-peer tutoring marketplace focused exclusively on blockchain and cryptocurrency education.

The platform delivers live one-to-one tutoring sessions inside an integrated collaborative learning environment that includes video communication, interactive educational tools, collaborative workspaces, technical analysis systems, and live coding environments.

Unlike traditional course-based platforms, APOLO focuses on real-time, on-demand learning where students connect directly with tutors and pay by the hour for personalized educational sessions.

We are currently looking for a highly skilled Automation QA Engineer / SDET to help design, build, and maintain the platform’s automated testing infrastructure and quality assurance systems.

Working Structure

• Equity-based founding-stage position
• Fully remote
• Team collaboration is synchronous, not asynchronous
• Core working hours are Monday to Friday from 4:00 PM UTC to 7:00 PM UTC
• Direct collaboration with QA, Backend, Frontend, DevOps, and Founder-level leadership

Role Overview

This role focuses on building scalable automated testing systems to ensure APOLO’s platform remains stable, secure, reliable, and production-ready as the platform evolves.

You will work closely with QA and engineering teams to improve testing coverage, automate validation processes, optimize testing workflows, and help maintain platform quality across both frontend and backend systems.

We are looking for someone highly analytical, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable building testing infrastructure inside a fast-moving startup environment.

Key Responsibilities
Test Automation & Framework Development

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks for:
• Functional testing
• Regression testing
• API testing
• End-to-end testing
• Performance testing
• Improve automation coverage across platform features and workflows
• Create scalable and maintainable testing architectures for future platform growth
• Help reduce manual testing overhead through efficient automation strategies

Platform Quality Assurance

• Design structured test plans and test cases for new features and releases
• Validate platform functionality across frontend and backend systems
• Help identify edge cases, workflow failures, and usability issues
• Collaborate closely with QA and developers to improve release stability and product quality

CI/CD & Testing Integration

• Help integrate automated testing workflows into deployment and development pipelines
• Improve automated validation processes during development and release cycles
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve platform reliability and deployment confidence
• Assist in maintaining testing environments and automation-related infrastructure

Performance & Scalability Testing

• Execute performance, stress, and load testing scenarios
• Identify performance bottlenecks and scalability limitations
• Help improve platform responsiveness, stability, and reliability under load
• Participate in optimization discussions related to scalability and system stability

API & Backend Validation

• Build and maintain API testing workflows and validation systems
• Validate authentication flows, session management, booking workflows, and payment-related systems
• Help ensure data integrity and workflow consistency across platform interactions

Security & Reliability Testing

• Help identify security-related risks through automated testing and validation workflows
• Participate in testing related to:
• Authentication systems
• User permissions
• Session flows
• Payment-related interactions
• Assist in improving platform reliability and operational resilience

Documentation & Reporting

• Document:
• Test coverage
• Defects
• Automation workflows
• Testing procedures
• Validation results
• Provide structured reporting for QA and engineering teams
• Help improve internal testing standards and operational quality processes

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in QA engineering, software testing, or automation-focused roles
• Strong experience building and maintaining automated testing systems
• Experience with modern automation and testing tools such as:
• Selenium
• Cypress
• Playwright
• Similar testing frameworks
• Strong understanding of:
• API testing
• Frontend/backend integration testing
• Automated validation workflows
• Performance and scalability testing
• Familiarity with CI/CD environments and automated deployment workflows
• Strong debugging and analytical problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with technical teams during synchronous working hours
• Strong communication and documentation abilities
• Fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with:
• Real-time applications
• Marketplace platforms
• Educational technology platforms
• Fintech or crypto-related products
• Familiarity with:
• Performance testing tools
• Load testing methodologies
• Authentication and payment workflow testing
