Location Columbus, Indiana.
Full time / Contract
Experience: 8-10+ Years
We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with strong experience in engine component design and casting development to support Powertrain/Natural Gas subsystem programs.
Must Have
- Strong mechanical design background.
- Expert Creo user.
- Able to independently develop concepts through detailed design.
- Exposure to design of engine components
- Extensive casting design experience.
- Experience working with suppliers on casting manufacturability.
- Senior enough to mentor junior engineers (8-10+ Yrs)
Nice to Have
- •ANSYS / FEA or doing simple CAE analysis
- Tubes, hoses and rubber component design.
- Drafting experience.
Role
- Support Powertrain/Natural Gas subsystem programs.
- Initially work onsite with the design team.
- Help transition suitable work to offshore engineering teams over time.
