About SecRecon
SecRecon is an AI-native Attack Surface Management platform built for enterprise risk reduction, not vulnerability listing. Traditional AppSec scanners flood developers with thousands of unverified alerts and stall on modern architectures (Next.js, SPAs, multi-tenant APIs).
SecRecon fixes this by pairing deterministic, dual-session differential testing and out-of-band (OAST) callback correlation with agentic AI triage (backend/ai_agent.py)—delivering zero-false-positive attack validation in ~12 minutes.
We recently built one of the industry's first Streamable HTTP Remote MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers with OAuth 2.1 authentication, allowing enterprise SOC agents and AI tools (like Claude) to trigger and manage scans directly within native workflows. We are currently semifinalists in the 2026 AI Venture Velocity Challenge and preparing for our institutional seed stage.
About the Role
We are looking for a visionary Technical Co-Founder with a deep background in offensive security, distributed systems, or AI/LLM engineering to lead product architecture alongside the CEO. You will own the core scanning infrastructure, scale our remote agent networks for MSPs, and help drive enterprise design partner pilots.
What You’ll Do
Scale the Core Engine: Architect and optimize our high-throughput fuzzer, OAST correlation pipeline, and dual-session IDOR testing engines written in Python (httpx, asyncio, subprocess).
Advance Agentic Workflows: Expand our Remote MCP server and agentic AI triage modules, enabling deep context-aware code tracing and automated vulnerability verification.
Lead Enterprise Infrastructure: Drive multi-tenant MSP architecture, remote scanning agent deployments, and zero-trust OAuth 2.1 security integrations.
Co-Lead the Venture: Join executive discussions with VCs, accelerators (like Beta Boom), and enterprise CISOs. Represent SecRecon’s technical moat in fundraising and customer pilots.
What We’re Looking For
Offensive Security or Systems Engineering Expertise: Proven track record in AppSec, penetration testing, vulnerability research, or high-performance network programming (Python, Go, or Rust).
AI & Agentic Systems Understanding: Hands-on experience integrating LLM APIs, building agent loops, or working with open protocols like Model Context Protocol (MCP).
Founder Mindset: High shipping velocity, comfort with ambiguity, and a relentless focus on signal quality over superficial code volume.
Hands-On Builder: Willing to write production code daily while shaping long-term technical strategy.
Bonus Points
Active Bugcrowd / HackerOne researcher with proven P1/P2 findings.
Experience scaling security products for Managed Service Providers (MSPs) or MSSPs.
Prior experience as an early-stage founder or founding engineer at a venture-backed startup.
