About Cibotti
Cibotti, Inc. is seeking a senior, hands-on technical leader to take ownership of the technology behind an already-built B2B compliance platform.

This is not an idea-stage startup, and we are not looking for someone to build an MVP. The application is built, deployed, and fully functional today.

Cibotti is a browser-based compliance recordkeeping platform designed to create independently verifiable, tamper-evident business records. The platform uses cryptographic hash chaining and Bitcoin anchoring to establish independently verifiable evidence that records existed at a particular point in time and have not subsequently been altered.

The core product — including organizational permissions, file attachments, verification workflows, reporting, automated trend detection, and public record verification — is operational today.

We are now looking for the technical leader who can assume responsibility for the platform as Cibotti moves from a founder-built product into commercial deployments.

What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a senior software engineer or technical leader who remains hands-on with code and is capable of taking technical ownership of an existing production application.

The ideal candidate will have approximately 7–15+ years of professional software engineering experience, although demonstrated ability and relevant experience are more important than a specific number of years.

Strong experience should include:

Modern backend and cloud architecture
Serverless and/or edge-compute systems
SQL and production database architecture
B2B SaaS and multi-tenant applications
Authentication, authorization, and role-based access control
API and backend development
Application and cloud security
Production deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and reliability
File/object storage architecture
Scaling web applications as customer and transaction volume increases
Personally modifying, maintaining, and improving an existing codebase
Experience as a Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer, Lead Engineer, startup CTO, technical founder, or equivalent senior technical role is strongly preferred.

Experience with cryptographic systems, blockchain infrastructure, Bitcoin, or OpenTimestamps is valuable but not required. We are primarily looking for an excellent SaaS/backend technical leader rather than a “Web3” specialist.

A computer science degree is not required. Demonstrated technical ability, production experience, judgment, and ownership matter more.

What You’ll Own
Initially, you will review and become familiar with the existing application, architecture, infrastructure, and codebase.

You’ll identify technical risks and priorities and establish the path from the current production platform to larger commercial deployments.

As customers are onboarded, responsibilities will include:

Technical ownership of customer deployments
Infrastructure and scalability
Application and data security
Database and storage architecture
Multi-tenant architecture and customer isolation
Customer-specific technical requirements
Production reliability and monitoring
Continued backend and platform development
Technical planning for larger enterprise deployments
Load and performance testing
Future engineering hiring and technical leadership
As the company grows, the position is expected to evolve into leadership of the engineering function and future technical team.

You must be comfortable personally working in an existing codebase. This is not a nontechnical executive-management CTO position.

Current Stage
Cibotti is incorporated as a Delaware C-Corporation, and the platform is already live and operational.

The core technology has been built. The next technical phase centers on commercial deployment, customer onboarding, scalability, expanded storage requirements, security hardening, and preparing the platform for increasingly large organizational customers.

We are currently pre-revenue.

Compensation & Commitment
This position is initially equity-based.

Because the company is pre-revenue, we cannot currently offer a market salary. The initial time commitment is intended to remain limited and part-time while the company is at this stage.

The expectation is that involvement will increase as customers are acquired and/or outside financing is secured.

The intention is for the position to transition into paid and potentially full-time technical leadership upon sufficient customer revenue or outside financing.

Equity, vesting, responsibilities, and the transition to compensated involvement will be discussed with qualified candidates based on experience and expected commitment.

You are not being asked to spend months building someone else’s idea from scratch.

The product exists.
