What You'll Be Doing:

  • Plan and execute the full project and product lifecycle from definition to closeout utilizing iterative and waterfall methodologies: project planning; risk assessment; resource management; estimating and monitoring level of effort; identifying and managing impacts to cost, schedule, quality, and scope; organizing, planning, and prioritizing team tasks; and communicating and collaborating across organizational boundaries.
  • Review code, make suggestions for improvements, and lay out tasks required to meet customer requirements.
  • Interact directly with the customer product owners and contributors, managers and users
  • Assess customer requirements, identifying dependencies and gaps, and developing responsive project plans.
  • Work with the security team to ensure the applications are as secure as possible.
  • Develop performance planning and assessments for direct reports.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in information systems, business systems, management information systems, IT management, and/or other IT degrees.
  • 10+ years of experience leading diverse technical teams, while serving as the primary point of contact for all technical matters.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent project or program management certification
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Software development experience, preferably using Java, or other IT development experience.
  • 5 years of experience managing both development projects and ongoing sustainment efforts that are evolving to use difference systems software or technologies
  • Experience facilitating reviews with government customers to validate requirements, prioritize program backlog requirements into sprint backlogs, and validate designs.
  • Professional level Agile certification, knowledge or experience as a Scrum Master
  • Ability to shift between waterfall, agile, and DevOps methodologies and combine/tailor multiple approaches to meet project needs.

Salary Range

The proposed salary range for this role is $160,000 to $170,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Karsun considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
