About the job

THE OPPORTUNITY

LATTICOR aims to finally deliver on the promises of AI, providing a safe, trustworthy, and powerful force multiplier to companies in the middle market. The product is a self-building and self-improving task force, capable of autonomously handling a wide range of business responsibilities across industries and disciplines. LATTICOR recently closed a $4M+ seed round from a prominent family office and is scaling its organization and deploying its product to initial customers now. The founding team has built the product and secured initial paying customers and is looking to fill its roster with the best and brightest minds who can help in the collective mission to make a major dent in this exciting and competitive industry.

THE ROLE

Your goal will be simple: help supercharge our engineering team, allowing them to work as quickly and efficiently as possible leveraging the latest agentic AI technology. You will help architect systems to allow the team to extract the maximum value from AI, putting in place the appropriate systems, checks and guardrails to move quickly while ensuring the highest standards in security and code quality throughout. Most engineering organizations have bolted AI onto an SDLC designed for humans. We are designing the SDLC around the agents from the ground up — how work is specified, how context is delivered, how output is verified, and how a small team supervises a very large amount of machine-authored code without losing control of it. You will own that system. You will build the harnesses, evaluation loops, review gates, and context infrastructure that let a handful of engineers operate at the output of a much larger team — and you will be ruthless about measuring whether it is actually working. The role starts internally, focused on our own engineering organization. But this is not a side quest. What we prove on ourselves becomes product: the patterns you validate in our own SDLC will graduate into the core product as they mature.

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

Agentic Development Infrastructure

• Design and build the tooling, harnesses, and orchestration that let engineers delegate meaningful work to AI agents.

• Own the context layer: how agents get the right information about our codebase, architecture, and conventions at the right moment.

• Continuously evaluate models, tools, and techniques as the frontier moves, and make fast, evidence-based calls on what we adopt and what we ignore.

Guardrails & Verification

• Build the checks that make machine-authored code safe to ship — automated review, testing strategy, static analysis, and non-negotiable human gates.

• Design evaluation loops that catch regressions in agent output quality before they reach a pull request.

• Ensure security and access controls are enforced by the system, not by anyone's memory.

Velocity & Measurement

• Instrument the development process end-to-end and establish the metrics that reflect accurate throughput and quality.

• Identify team bottlenecks and ruthlessly attack them, leading to step changes in team throughput.

Developer Enablement

• Work shoulder-to-shoulder with the engineering team to raise the ceiling on how they use tools; write the internal playbooks and teach the patterns.

• Work with senior leadership to drive universal adoption of best practices across the team, not through mandates but through obvious improvement.

Feed the Product

• Partner with the CEO and Director of Engineering to graduate proven internal patterns into the AI platform.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

LATTICOR is seeking a unique individual who…

thrives in ambiguity. There's no playbook here yet, and you don't need one. You're comfortable working with incomplete information and building the path as you walk it.

is a total self-starter. You operate autonomously, set your own priorities, and are used to moving things forward without being asked twice. No one here will hold your hand — and you wouldn't want them to.

is AI-native, not AI-curious. This isn't a buzzword for you. You've been building with these tools since before they were good, you have opinions about what works and strong evidence for why, and you're already running experiments no one asked you to run. You can speak intelligently and eagerly about where this is headed.

thinks in systems. We don't care how you do on a whiteboard algorithm. We care that you can look at a messy process, see the structure underneath it, and design something novel that makes it dramatically better. Architectural judgment matters far more here than traditional coding pedigree.

earns credibility with strong engineers. You'll be building the tools our engineering team relies on every day. That requires enough technical depth to be taken seriously by people who will absolutely notice if you aren't — and enough humility to find out why they routed around what you shipped.

thrives working alongside a founder. You'll be in lockstep with the founder on every major project — this role is collaborative, not siloed. You like being close to the action and learning directly from experienced senior leadership.

LOCATION & WORK ARRANGEMENT

This is an in-person role based at LATTICOR’s offices in Old Parkland (4143 Maple Avenue, Dallas, TX). Old Parkland is a landmark campus in the heart of Dallas offering a premier working environment.
