About the job

What we are
BullzEye reads a golf green with the LiDAR sensor already in an iPhone and tells you the line. Public
beta 8 November. Small founding team, remote, contract-based.

The role
You own everything off the device.
The app is local-first and stays that way. A golfer scans a green, gets a read, and keeps the session
on their phone.
Nothing about that requires us. Your job starts at the point they want more than one
phone can hold — the session pipeline, a lightweight account layer, then subscription entitlement
across two payment rails.

What is actually hard about it
Three things, and they are why this is not a CRUD job.
• The phone is the source of truth, not you. The app works fully offline and is not waiting for your
response. The interesting problems are reconciliation, conflict resolution and eventual consistency
— not request handling.
• The payload is not JSON records. A session is a binary point cloud plus an event log plus
metadata, and the three have to stay coherent together. Right now they can get separated, and
that is one of the first things to fix.
• Entitlement lands from two rails and has to resolve to one state. Apple StoreKit on iOS, Stripe on
web, one answer to whether this person is subscribed.

Why the seat matters
The November beta ships without accounts, deliberately. General availability does not — and we
have not set a GA date because it depends on how fast this seat ramps. You would not be building a
feature on someone else's roadmap. You would be setting the pace of one.

What we're looking for
• Someone who has built sync for an offline-first client and can talk about what went wrong.
• Comfort with binary payloads and schema versioning.
• Payments or entitlement experience is a strong plus, not a requirement.
• Remote anywhere. We already contract across time zones.

Straight about terms
Contract engagement, not employment. We're pre-seed. Equity is real and granted up front:
0.25%–0.50% over 4 years, 1-year cliff, ISO options. Cash is milestone-based and begins at a defined
funding trigger, stepping up at defined raise thresholds — exact numbers on the first call.

This is an
equity-motivated role. If you need income from day one, this isn't the right time for us, and we'd rather
say so now than waste your week.

To apply, email [email protected] with your resume and one paragraph on a system you built where the client worked offline and synced later.
