Finance Lead

We're looking for a Finance Lead to own finance and accounting for Certa's India entity. Based in India and partnering closely with our global finance team, you'll run day-to-day operations, keep us fully compliant with Indian statutory and tax requirements, and build the processes, controls, and team to support our next phase of growth.

What You'll Do

• Own India finance operations: Manage day-to-day finance and accounting for Certa's India entity - accounts payable and receivable, payroll, general ledger, and month-end and quarter-end close.
• Ensure statutory compliance: Own India statutory and regulatory compliance - GST, TDS, income tax, ROC/MCA filings, transfer pricing, and FEMA/RBI requirements - coordinating with external auditors, tax advisors, and consultants.
• Lead audits & controls: Manage statutory and internal audits, strengthen internal controls, and maintain accurate books (Ind AS/Indian GAAP) that reconcile cleanly to global reporting.
• Drive FP&A & reporting: Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for the India entity, and deliver timely, accurate management reporting to the global finance team.
• Manage cash & vendors: Oversee treasury, cash flow, banking relationships, and vendor and contract governance for the India operation.
• Build & improve: Automate and improve finance processes and systems, and help build and mentor the India finance team as we scale.

What You'll Need

• Experience: 7+ years in finance and accounting, including experience leading finance operations for an India entity, ideally at a high-growth B2B SaaS or technology company.
• Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) strongly preferred (or equivalent), with a strong grasp of Ind AS/Indian GAAP; exposure to US GAAP a plus.
• Compliance depth: Deep knowledge of Indian statutory and tax compliance - GST, TDS, income tax, transfer pricing, ROC/MCA, and FEMA/RBI regulations.
• Operational rigor: Hands-on experience running month-end close, audits, AP/AR, and payroll, with strong internal controls.
• Systems & analysis: Proficiency with accounting/ERP systems and strong Excel and financial modeling skills, with a track record of improving or automating finance processes.
• Collaboration & communication: Excellent communication and the ability to partner effectively with a distributed, global finance team and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Mindset: Detail-oriented, autonomous, and comfortable building processes where they don't yet exist in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
