Salary

The annual salary for this position ranges from $65,300 to $80,000. The final offer will be commensurate with the candidate’s relevant experience and qualifications.

Purpose of Position

The Program Manager, Community Based Care will play a critical role in recruitment, data collection, and data analysis for the Community Based Care Collaborative at UTA, part of the Child Welfare Research Center. This position reports to the Director of the Child Welfare Research Center. This position is responsible for day-to-day operations and management of the Community Based Care Collaborative, tasked with conducting a process evaluation of the rollout of community-based care in Texas. This position requires strong collaborative and organizational skills and a proactive approach to teamwork.

Essential Functions

  • Conduct interviews and focus groups with a wide range of stakeholders (program directors, caseworkers, supervisors, attorneys, judges, youth with lived experience, families, etc.).
  • Assist with qualitative data analysis to conduct an applied thematic analysis of transcripts.
  • Coordinate recruitment of research participants in Regions 3E and 3W of Texas.
  • Develop and maintain tracking sheet for research participants in Regions 3E and 3W of Texas.
  • Attend weekly meetings with the UTA internal team to go over goals, objectives, challenges, and progress.
  • Attend weekly meetings with the full Community Based Care Collaborative (UTA team and external team).
  • Assist the Principal Investigator with drafting the final report.
  • Assist with other dissemination efforts, including possible presentations to policymakers and child welfare leadership.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field and two (2) years of experience managing/coordinating projects or six (6) years of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with the child welfare system in Texas.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in social work
  • Familiarity with child welfare
  • Experience analyzing qualitative data
  • Spanish proficiency

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience conducting interviews or focus groups.
  • Strong project management skills.

Work Schedule

  • Monday through Friday; 8:00am through 5:00pm
  • Position funded through 12/31/2027
  • Some travel will be required within the state of Texas
