Travel: Up to 10%

Job ID: 1771

The Role:

As a Product Manager within the Quantum Platform – Devices division, you will play a key role in supporting a growing portfolio of cutting-edge products by taking ownership of day-to-day product operations. You will ensure product features are clearly defined, tracked throughout every stage of the product lifecycle and delivered successfully across cross-functional teams. Working closely with Engineering, Industrialisation, Production and Marketing, you will translate market and customer insights into product features for refinement by engineering teams, while leading the triage, planning and coordination of special customer projects. You will help optimise product lifecycle processes, ensuring efficient collaboration, smooth feature delivery and successful execution from concept through to launch.

  • - Own product operations, ensuring features are defined, tracked throughout the product lifecycle and delivered across cross-functional teams.
    • Translate market and customer insights into product features, while triaging, planning and coordinating special customer projects.
    • Partner with Engineering, Industrialisation, Production and Marketing to optimise product lifecycle processes and drive efficient product delivery.

What you'll be doing:

You will take ownership of the operational delivery of product management, ensuring products and features progress efficiently from validated requirements through development, industrialisation and commercialisation. Acting as the day-to-day product decision-maker within defined boundaries, you will drive cross-functional alignment, maintain product data integrity and coordinate delivery across multiple teams to ensure products are launched on time and to a high standard. This role is integral to enabling the Product team to scale effectively, providing operational ownership and supporting the successful delivery of an expanding product portfolio.

  • - Own the operational delivery of product management, ensuring features progress from validated requirements through development, industrialisation and commercialisation.
    • Drive cross-functional alignment, maintain product data integrity and coordinate timely delivery across the product lifecycle.
    • Act as the day-to-day product decision-maker within defined boundaries, enabling the Product team to scale beyond a single Product Manager.

What you'll bring:

In this role, you will take ownership of feature delivery from end to end, defining requirements and acceptance criteria, coordinating engineering handovers, validating delivery and supporting successful commercial launches. You will manage non-standard sales opportunities by assessing feasibility, making configuration decisions within agreed boundaries and documenting exceptions, while ensuring full traceability from customer requests through to delivered capability. Working closely with Engineering, Industrialisation, Production, Marketing and Sales, you will coordinate cross-functional activities to remove blockers, maintain an accurate and prioritised Jira backlog, and respond to product enquiries from Sales. You will also prepare products for launch through documentation, training, pricing and sales enablement, maintain up-to-date product documentation, communicate complex photonic, cryogenic and networking architectures to a range of stakeholders, and represent the product in customer-facing activities including pre-sales support, technical discussions and trade shows.

  • - Own end-to-end feature delivery, from requirements definition and engineering handover through to delivery validation, commercial launch and ongoing product documentation.
    • Coordinate cross-functionally with Engineering, Industrialisation, Production, Marketing and Sales, while managing Jira backlog integrity, product enquiries and non-standard sales opportunities.
    • Support successful product adoption by communicating complex technical architectures, ensuring launch readiness, providing pre-sales support and representing the product in customer discussions and at trade shows.

You'll be a great fit with:

The ideal candidate will hold a Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, Photonics, Microengineering or a related technical discipline, combined with an action-oriented mindset and the confidence to make decisions in an environment of uncertainty. You will be able to understand and reason about complex hardware products involving photonics, cryogenics and networking technologies, while communicating effectively with both technical and commercial stakeholders. You will be comfortable representing products in customer-facing situations, including technical discussions, pre-sales meetings and trade shows, and have a strong understanding of manufacturing environments, including industrialisation constraints, production realities and supply chain considerations. You will also be confident resolving conflicting priorities, negotiating with stakeholders and developing deep expertise in quantum technologies, supported by advanced Jira proficiency, including workflow configuration, automation rules and custom field management.

  • - Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, Photonics, Microengineering or a related technical discipline, with the ability to make product decisions autonomously within defined boundaries.
    • Strong technical, commercial and customer-facing communication skills, with experience discussing complex hardware products and representing products in pre-sales meetings and trade shows.
    • Advanced Jira expertise, manufacturing and industrialisation knowledge, excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills, and a genuine curiosity for deep-tech and quantum technologies.
