About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive leadership team. This founding executive will work directly with the CEO to establish the company’s financial strategy, oversee planning and forecasting, support fundraising efforts, and build scalable financial operations.

This role is ideal for a finance leader who enjoys building systems from the ground up and wants to make a meaningful impact at an early-stage startup.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy.

• Build financial models, budgets, forecasts, and operating plans.

• Manage cash flow, runway planning, and financial reporting.

• Prepare investor-ready financial materials and support fundraising activities.

• Establish internal financial controls and reporting processes.

• Monitor key business metrics and develop executive dashboards.

• Collaborate with executive leadership on pricing, growth strategy, and long-term planning.

• Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and legal advisors to support compliance.

Qualifications

• Executive finance leadership experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, Finance Director, or similar role.

• Experience with startup or high-growth companies.

• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills.

• Familiarity with fundraising, investor relations, and due diligence.

• Knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, and corporate governance.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SaaS, marketplace, or subscription-based businesses.

• Experience supporting venture-backed or mission-driven organizations.

• Familiarity with financial systems implementation and operational scaling.

Compensation

• 4% founding equity (subject to the company’s equity plan and standard vesting schedule).

• Deferred cash compensation until funding or sustainable company revenue supports executive salaries.
