StackTalk was founded by a cross-disciplinary team from compliance, privacy, and banking industries. We are a small, fast-moving team working directly with top banks to catch compliance issues before they ever reach production and spend less time on remediation.

The Role
First and foremost, you will be on the cutting edge of AI Agent development. You will be expected to follow the latest developments and best practices for building AI Agents, test trends as they happen, and determine what can and should be implemented in our product.

You will be responsible for the technical maturity of the product and its deployment and to contribute to creative solutions to solve customer problems. You will also deal with building and maintaining integrations to cusomer systems and continuously improving the AI Agent harness that finds and remediates compliance issues.

The role involves building the systems themselves as well as supporting the infrastructure for deployment with customers in regulated environments, including deploying behind customer VPCs, security/SOC considerations, and possibly some forward-deployment responsibilities interfacing with customers.

There is a lot of opportunity for product-level contributions as well. You will sit in on real compliance working sessions with our design partners. The core translation problem turning a compliance officer's existing frameworks and workflows into a specification you can build and test against is the hardest and most valuable thing you will do here.

What We're Looking For

Necessary:

• AI-Native development workflow: Software Development has changed dramatically in the past 12 months. We are looking for someone who's quick to adapt to the innevitable changes still to come.
• Strong Next.js and production experience with LLM-based systems
• Experience in developing up highly reliable systems for mission-critical tasks
• Comfort with data pipelines over messy, heterogeneous integrations like PRDs, marketing collateral, policies, and code abses
• Product judgment: a track record of scoping ambiguous problems yourself, choosing what not to build, and changing direction when the usage data disagreed with the plan
• Bias toward shipping - you'll be trusted to use your judgement to decide when features are ready to go live

Nice to have:

• Experience shipping software inside a regulated enterprise like banks
• Financial services or compliance background
• Early employee or founder experience

What You'll Do

• Shipping, evaluating, and continually improving the AI Compliance Engineering Agents we deliver to our customers.
• Design ingestion and normalization pipelines for heterogeneous customer systems ready to be parsed by our AI Agents
• Own containerized deployment into customer environments, including the security posture that survives third-party risk review
• Take vague, high-value problems from design partners and decide what can actually be developed to solve their problems alongside the founders
• Shape the reviewer-facing experience: how determinations are surfaced, escalated, overridden, and defended to an examiner
• Say no to work. Part of the role is judging what is worth building today vs what we will have to redesign in 6 months.
