Position Summary:
The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for leading business analysis activities for enterprise IT delivery initiatives. Working as part of an Agile delivery team, this role leads requirements elicitation, translates business and regulatory needs into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria, facilitates backlog refinement, supports business process analysis, and contributes to successful solution delivery. The Senior Business Analyst collaborates closely with product owners, project managers, technical leads, developers, QA engineers, business stakeholders, and fellow business analysts while leveraging AI-assisted analysis tools to improve documentation quality, productivity, and delivery efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead elicitation, analysis, and documentation of complex business requirements.
- Translate business and regulatory needs into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Facilitate backlog refinement and prioritization with product owners.
- Model business processes, data flows, and workflow requirements.
- Mentor junior business analysts and review requirements artifacts for quality and consistency.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning, test scenario development, and deliverable acceptance.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Technical Leads, Developers, QA engineers, and business stakeholders throughout the Agile delivery lifecycle.
- Utilize AI-assisted analysis tools to improve requirements analysis, documentation, and overall delivery productivity.
Minimum Experience:
- 7+ years of professional business analysis experience supporting IT programs.
- Experience eliciting, documenting, and managing complex business requirements.
- Experience working within Agile software development teams.
- Experience with backlog management and Agile delivery practices.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

- Willingness to work a hybrid schedule (1–2 remote days) in Reston, VA, and client locations throughout the Washington, D.C. area as required.
- Ability to prioritize work, self-start, and manage multiple priorities.

Pay Rate Range:
$125,000 – $135,000
Degrees and Certifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, information systems, computer science, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
Preferred:
- CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional).
- Agile Analysis Certification.
