About the Role
We are looking for talented Mechanical Engineers to join our global team. You will be a part of a talented design team, who work across a diverse portfolio of projects, regionally and nationally. Our projects include laboratories, hospitals, commercial buildings, stadium/venues, institutional & educational facilities and campuses, and transportation infrastructure. Our team is highly collaborative, dynamic, and multi-disciplinary.
This is a hybrid position based in our Fairfax, VA office. Why hybrid? We value the energy, collaboration and learning opportunities that come from working together in person-and we also recognize the ability to get things done working remotely. We want best from both.
Responsibilities
- Capable of independently performing various phases of design, including conceptual design to construction documents, engineering calculations, HVAC load calculations, HVAC system sizing & selection, specifications, and construction observations/ support for federal, healthcare, laboratory, and pharmaceutical projects.
- Should respond to all RFIs, review shop drawings, code review and analysis, conduct field visits.
- Incorporate sustainable design methods independent of benchmarking standards incorporated, e.g., LEED, Well Building, NZEB (Net Zero Energy Building), Living Building Challenge (ILFI), etc.
- Serve as a champion of the firm both internally and externally.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a sound knowledge of engineering fundamentals
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in the AEC Industry
- EIT or P.E. license is a plus
- AutoCAD and REVIT proficient
- USGBC LEED AP is a plus

- Excellent planning and organization skills required for our fast-paced environment
- Must be highly motivated, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges
- Proficient knowledge of psychometrics
