About the job
About UGC Mastery Academy
UGC Mastery Academy is a fast-growing online education and coaching program that teaches people how to build a sustainable income as user-generated content (UGC) creators. We help students land brand deals, create high-performing content, and build scalable creator businesses. Our team moves fast, operates across multiple tech platforms, and is in an active phase of scaling our systems and student experience.
About the role
We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented IT Specialist to join our growing technical team. You'll be the first line of support for our internal systems and tools — keeping our platforms running smoothly, resolving technical issues across departments, and maintaining the day-to-day reliability of our tech stack. This is a hands-on, reactive-first role that plays a critical part in keeping the business operational as we scale.
Ideal candidates are self-directed technologists who are equally comfortable troubleshooting a CRM routing bug and building an automated onboarding workflow — and who thrive in fast-moving, resource-constrained environments where ownership matters.
IT operations (baseline)
All specialists own these core operational responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain core business platforms: GoHighLevel, Close.io, OnceHub, ClickUp, LMS, and payment systems
- Resolve technical issues across Sales, Marketing, Delivery, and Customer Service within agreed SLAs
- Manage access provisioning / deprovisioning across all tools and platforms
- Own the IT issue backlog and prioritize fixes by business impact using ClickUp
- Maintain automations and integrations (Zapier / Make) and flag failures proactively
- Document resolutions, system configurations, and SOPs in the internal knowledge base
- Participate in weekly IT syncs and cross-functional team updates
Product build track (choose one)
In addition to IT operations, you'll own a primary build track aligned to the Q3 2026 roadmap. This track is roughly 40–60% of your time and grows as the team expands.
Track A Funnel & Automation Specialist Own the technical setup, optimization, and scaling of all acquisition and conversion funnels. Work closely with marketing to instrument tracking, run A/B tests, and build automation workflows.
- Build and maintain GHL / ClickFunnels funnels and landing pages
- Implement pixel events, GA4 tracking, and conversion attribution across the funnel
- Build and manage email/SMS automation sequences for lead nurture and student onboarding
- Run A/B tests on opt-in pages and report on conversion performance
- Set up retargeting workflows and behavioral triggers
- Deliver: fully instrumented funnel with conversion attribution live by end of Month 2
Track B Data & Analytics Engineer Build and own the internal data infrastructure. Create dashboards and reporting systems that give the executive team visibility into funnel performance, student outcomes, and business KPIs.
- Audit existing data sources and build a unified event-tracking plan
- Build and maintain dashboards in Looker Studio, Metabase, or similar
- Implement funnel attribution models (CAC, LTV, ROAS)
- Connect ad platform data (Meta, TikTok, Google) to conversion outcomes
- Build student performance reports for the Delivery and Coaching teams
- Deliver: core KPI dashboard live with CAC, LTV, and funnel metrics by end of Month 3
Track C AI & Content Tools Developer Explore, prototype, and ship AI-powered tools that improve student outcomes and internal workflows. A high-upside, exploratory track for builders who want to work at the frontier of AI applications in education.
- Identify and scope high-leverage AI use cases for students and internal teams
- Build and iterate on AI tools using OpenAI or Anthropic (Claude) APIs
- Develop content-feedback tools, brand-pitch generators, or coaching assistants
- Build internal AI workflows to support content production and marketing
- Run a structured beta pilot with 10–20 students and collect feedback
- Deliver: at least one AI tool piloted with students by end of Month 3
What we're looking for
All hybrid candidates must have:
- 2–5 years of experience in technical operations, IT support, or systems engineering
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities across operations and project work simultaneously
- Experience with SaaS business tools (GHL, CRMs, automation platforms, or LMS systems)
- Strong written communication — able to translate technical complexity for non-technical stakeholders
- Self-directed and comfortable operating with autonomy in a fast-moving environment
Track A (Funnel & Automation) — additional:
- Hands-on experience with GoHighLevel or ClickFunnels
- Proficiency with Zapier, Make (Integromat), or equivalent
- Experience setting up pixel events, GA4, and basic conversion tracking
- Familiarity with email automation platforms and A/B testing
Track B (Data & Analytics) — additional:
- Proficiency in SQL and at least one BI tool (Looker Studio, Metabase, Tableau, or similar)
- Experience with event tracking (GA4, Segment, or equivalent)
- Ability to build attribution models and connect data across marketing and sales systems
- Comfort with data cleaning, pipeline setup, and dashboard design
Track C (AI & Content Tools) — additional:
- Experience building with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic/Claude, or similar)
- Python proficiency and familiarity with REST APIs and workflow automation
- Ability to scope and prototype tools quickly and gather structured user feedback
- Product thinking: can identify a high-value use case, build a v1, and iterate
What success looks like — first 90 days
Month 1 — IT: systems audited, all active issues documented, backlog structured in ClickUp. Build track: track scoped, baseline metrics established, first sprint underway.
Month 2 — IT: SLA targets being met, SOPs written for the top 10 recurring issues. Build track: first deliverable shipped (v1 funnel / dashboard / AI prototype).
Month 3 — IT: operations running proactively rather than reactively; team unblocked consistently. Build track: deliverable iterated and validated, roadmap input provided for Q4.
Why this role exists
Our IT team is evolving from reactive firefighting to proactive product development. The IT Specialist — Hybrid was designed to accelerate that transition without waiting until we have a fully built-out team. You'll have real ownership, direct access to leadership, and the ability to shape how we build systems at UGCMA. As the team grows through Q3 and into Q4, hybrid specialists are first in line to move into dedicated build-track roles with expanded scope and responsibility.
Our stack
