We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Agricultural Consultant to join our growing team. In this role, you will work directly with farmers, agricultural businesses, researchers, and industry professionals to improve crop production, livestock health, and sustainable farming practices. You'll combine scientific research with practical consulting to help clients increase productivity while promoting environmental stewardship.
This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a strong background in agricultural science, animal health, laboratory research, or veterinary sciences who enjoys solving real-world agricultural challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with farmers and agricultural clients to assess operational needs and develop customized strategies for crop production, livestock management, and resource optimization.
Conduct laboratory and field research involving animal nutrition, microbiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, histology, cell culture, and animal husbandry.
Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to soil quality, crop performance, livestock health, feed formulation, and agricultural productivity.
Maintain compliance with laboratory safety standards, Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Prepare technical reports, research summaries, and scientific publications to communicate findings and recommendations.
Provide expert guidance on animal care, veterinary practices, animal handling, dissection techniques, and livestock nutrition.
Educate clients on best practices for farm management, sustainable agriculture, and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative, research-driven agricultural solutions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in Agricultural Science, Animal Science, Biology, Veterinary Medicine, or a related field.
Experience in agriculture, scientific research, laboratory environments, or agricultural consulting.
Hands-on experience with microbiology, biochemistry, histology, molecular biology, and cell culture techniques.
Strong knowledge of livestock management, animal anatomy, animal husbandry, feed formulation, and veterinary procedures.
Experience collecting, analyzing, and interpreting scientific or agricultural research data.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to clients and stakeholders.
Familiarity with GLP standards and laboratory safety procedures is preferred.
