Fractional Project Manager — Keep Legal AI Shipping in LatAm

We're building the next generation of legal AI tools for Latin America. The product is live, profitable, and growing fast ($80K MRR). Engineering velocity is our bottleneck — not ideas. We're looking for a fractional Project Manager to own delivery: turning a fast-moving roadmap into scoped work, keeping a distributed team unblocked, and making sure things actually ship.

This starts with a short-term contract (to check fit), then transitions into an ongoing fractional engagement as we grow.

🧠 What You'll Do

Own delivery end to end — translate high-level product and AI priorities into scoped, sequenced, actionable tickets.
Run our Notion boards as the single source of truth: groomed, current, and honest about status.
Drive the weekly cadence — planning, standups, and retros that are short and actually change what we do next.
Track dependencies and surface risks early, especially where AI work meets product, data, and legal-domain review.
Unblock engineers and contractors — chase decisions, gather missing context, escalate when something is stuck.
Coordinate releases and handoffs across a distributed, multi-timezone team of employees and contractors.
Report clearly to founders: what shipped, what slipped, what it will take to fix.

⚙️ How You'll Work

Notion for boards, docs, and specs
Async-first communication, with a few live rituals per week
Working alongside our AI Lead, engineers, and legal-domain contributors
Overlap of at least [3–4] hours/day with [timezone / LatAm business hours]

💪 Who You Are

Experienced managing technical delivery, ideally for AI/ML or data-heavy products at a startup.
Fluent enough in the technical domain to scope work and challenge estimates — you don't need to write the code, but you need to follow the conversation.
Comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities; you create structure rather than waiting for it.
Direct communicator — you chase people politely, say when something's off track, and don't let issues age quietly.
Genuinely fractional by choice: self-directed, efficient with your hours, and clear about what you can and can't absorb.
Comfortable working in English with an international team. Spanish is a strong plus.
