About the job
Senior Product Designer
Remote (Argentina, Brazil, or Europe) · Individual Contractor
ABOUT
We are a high-growth B2B SaaS company building an AI operating system for healthcare. What
started as a procurement platform is now a connected set of products spanning procurement,
practice management, engagement, and intelligence, deployed across 11 markets in Europe
and serving more than 600 clinics and clinic networks, with additional clients in Asia. The result
is a fast-moving, international operating environment where several products are already live
and others are being built from the ground up.
This is a pivotal moment for us. The product ecosystem is expanding quickly, and we need a
designer who can give it one coherent voice: someone to build the design foundations that
every product stands on, own the experience end to end, and set the bar for quality as we scale.
THE ROLE
As Senior Product Designer, you will own design at our company. You will run research, build user journeys, turn pain points into opportunities, design the interfaces, and stand up our design
system from scratch. Some of our products are already in production, so part of the work is
reverse engineering their foundations. For others, you will define the basics so we can ship the
first features and pages. At this stage you will also help build our website and use AI to generate
and automate our marketing content.
The right person has already done this somewhere else, as a first or solo designer. You know
what good looks like across research, product, and brand, you move fast without losing craft,
and you can operate alone while the team is small. You will work directly with the product team
and report to the CPO, with a clear path to build and lead the design function as we grow.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Research and Discovery
• Run user research using mixed methods (interviews, usability testing, analytics)
and synthesize it into clear, validated insight.
• Build user journeys and service blueprints across our connected products.
• Identify pain points, gains, and opportunities, and turn them into prioritized
problems worth solving.
Product Design and UX
• Design interfaces end to end: information architecture, wireframes, high fidelity
UI, states, and interactive prototypes.
• Own UX quality across the whole experience and defend the bar as products and
the team grow.
• Partner with the product team through an agile process, from idea to shipped
Feature.
Design System and Foundations
• Build our design system from scratch: tokens, components, patterns, and
lightweight governance that scales.
• Reverse engineer the design foundations of products already in production so
they align to one system.
• Define the design basics for greenfield products so we can create their first
pages and features cleanly.
Website and Marketing Content
• Help design and build our website.
• Use AI tools to generate and automate marketing content, so a small team can
produce a lot without losing quality.
AI-Native Practice
• Use AI across your workflow to move faster: research synthesis, generating and
comparing options, prototyping, design to code, and content.
• Where the product surfaces AI to users, design the full experience, including
failure and edge states, human in the loop controls, and clarity about what the system is
doing.
Building the Design Area
• Stand up the design function as its first hire: process, rituals, and quality
standards.
• As we grow, help define what the design org should look like, then hire into it and
lead it.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
• 6+ years designing digital products, with a portfolio that shows depth across
research, UX, and UI.
• Proven track record leading a design area: you have built things end to end and
set quality where none existed, not polished one surface inside someone else's system.
• You have built a design system from scratch, including tokens, components, and
adoption.
• Strong researcher: comfortable planning, running, and synthesizing research on
your own.
• Genuinely AI-native: you can walk through specific AI workflows you use for both
design and content, not just name the tools. You have opinions on what AI is good and
bad at, and you design around its limits.
• Startup or high-growth experience: fast, agile, and comfortable making quality
trade-offs to ship.
• Exceptional English, written and spoken, and a strong communicator who can
sell a design direction to non-designers.
• Based in Argentina, Brazil, or Europe, and able to work with a distributed team
spanning Brazil, Colombia, Spain, Vietnam, and Europe.
NICE TO HAVE
• Experience in healthtech, medtech, or dental-tech, or designing software for
healthcare institutions.
• Hands-on experience with the tools we use: Figma, Pencil, Paper, Claude,
Claude Code, and Claude Cowork.
• Experience designing AI product interfaces, including confidence signaling,
override paths, and awareness of cost and latency as design variables.
• Strong brand and marketing design range alongside product work.
• Craft in motion and micro-interactions.
• Experience mentoring or leading other designers, a signal for the future
leadership path.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
30 days
You understand the product ecosystem, have audited the design state of
what is already live and what is greenfield, and have mapped the biggest
UX gaps and opportunities.
60 days
You have a v1 of the design foundations and system with leadership
alignment, have shipped the first journeys and interfaces for a priority
product, and have a clear direction for the website.
90 days
Design has a repeatable rhythm with the product team, the design system is
in use across priority products, and AI-assisted marketing content is starting
to flow.
6 months
Design is a coherent layer across the whole product ecosystem. You are
proactively shaping product direction with research from the field, and
leadership is looking to you to define what the design org becomes as Quqo
Scales.
BENEFITS AND LOCATION
Benefits: A monthly gym allowance of USD 150.
Engagement: Individual contractor, with contract and payments managed through Deel.
Location: Fully remote, based in Argentina, Brazil. English proficiency is essential.
Reporting to the Chief Product Officer (CPO).
