About Metaworkers
Metaworkers builds the governed memory and retrieval layer for enterprise AI agents. Today, agent memory is ungoverned — agents recall the wrong things, get poisoned by untrusted content, and leak data across contexts. We enforce provenance on every memory, taint-track untrusted inputs, bind purpose before any privileged action, and keep immutable audit trails, all wrapped around retrieval that's accurate, not just safe. We're starting with governed customer memory that persists correctly across sessions and channels.

We're an early-stage team backed by deep search and ranking expertise, a strong patent position, and partnerships with NVIDIA Inception and AWS. Now we need someone who can operate across the entire business, not just one lane.

The Role
We're looking for a generalist "hacker" — not a title, a mandate. You'll move fluidly across product, business development, marketing, growth, and operations depending on what the company needs that week. Some weeks you're shipping a landing page and running growth experiments; others you're in customer calls shaping the roadmap, negotiating a partnership, or fixing a broken internal process. If you need a narrow lane and a fixed job description to do good work, this isn't it.

This is a high-equity, low-cash role by design. We're looking for someone who wants to build ownership in the company, not draw a market-rate salary. It suits someone early in their career who wants outsized upside and a steep learning curve, or someone experienced who's chosen conviction and equity over cash comp at this stage.

What you'll do
Own ambiguous, cross-functional problems end to end — from "we need more signups" to "we need a pricing model" to "we need this partnership closed"
Ship product experiments and work directly with engineering to prioritize what gets built
Run growth and marketing experiments: positioning, content, outbound, community, paid channels — whatever moves the needle
Talk to customers and prospects constantly, and turn those conversations into decisions
Build and fix operational systems (hiring, tooling, reporting, vendor management) as the company scales
Represent Metaworkers in business development conversations and partnerships
Default to action: pick up work nobody owns yet, and own it
What we're looking for
A track record of getting things done with minimal oversight — startup experience, a business you've run, or serious independent projects
Comfort switching between analytical work (pricing, funnels, data) and creative work (positioning, copy, outreach) in the same day
Strong written and verbal communication — you'll be customer-facing and founder-facing constantly
A bias toward shipping over planning; comfortable with ambiguity and undefined process
Genuine excitement about AI infrastructure and enterprise agent tooling
Based in the United States, able to work core hours with the founding team
Compensation
This role is structured with meaningful equity and below-market cash compensation, reflecting our stage. Exact split is discussed directly with candidates based on experience and role scope. This is best suited to people optimizing for ownership and upside, not near-term cash.
