About the job

Job Title: Project Manager – Educational Compliance & Contract Performance (Remote – Must Reside in Texas) (Pending Contract Award)
Job Type: Full-Time / Hybrid Flex (Texas Residency Required)
Salary: $90,000

About Atropa Group LLC:
Atropa Group LLC is an elite, certified Texas VetHUB / SDVOSB prime contractor specializing in multi-jurisdictional regulatory compliance, high-stakes auditing, and data-integrity verification for state and federal entities. We operate a highly secure, decentralized workforce utilizing browser-based, FedRAMP High and CJIS-compliant Virtual Secure Enclaves (VSE) to deliver legally defensible, clinical outcomes.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a PMP-certified, Texas-based Project Manager to serve as the singular point of contact and operational commander for a high-stakes, multi-year state contract initiative supporting the Texas Education Agency (TEA). While daily operations are conducted remotely from home, candidates must legally reside within the State of Texas.

As the Project Manager, you will simultaneously supervise two critical contract tracks: Project A (Special Education Fact-Finding/IDEA compliance) and Project B (General Education Misconduct Triage/SBEC compliance). You will oversee an active core of Quality Assurance Leaders and a decentralized roster of variable-hour Internal Compliance Specialists. You will be directly accountable for corporate contract performance, metric tracking, data security architecture, and ironclad timeline enforcement.

*Note: Hiring for this position is contingent and pending formal contract award. *

Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary administrative and technical liaison to the TEA Contract Manager, ensuring immediate, same-day operational coordination.
Enforce a strict, non-negotiable 2-Business-Day Turnaround SLA across both pipelines for all case summaries, field reports, and agency template calibrations.
• Manage a remote workforce tracking complex Special Education files within a 60-calendar-day compliance horizon (Project A) and a high-velocity misconduct pipeline processing X files per business day (Project B).
Enforce a strict 3-Tier Double-Blind Quality Assurance (QA) workflow layout to filter out subjective narrative bias and secure sensitive information.
• Coordinate proactive pre-onboarding workflows, sandbox simulations, and the fast-tracked batch credentialing request matrix for staff access to the TEAL, MRP, and TREx systems.
Austin Mobilization Readiness: Maintain a maximum 24-hour physical mobilization window to travel to TEA Headquarters in Austin for urgent on-site consultations, briefings, or critical field escalations.

Qualifications:
• Must be a current legal resident of the State of Texas (Mandatory for contract compliance).
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is highly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Educational Leadership, Criminal Justice, or a related business systems field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum 5 years of direct experience managing large-scale compliance programs, regulatory auditing frameworks, or intervention monitoring pipelines inside a Texas public school district or state education agency.
• Deep working literacy with 19 TAC Chapter 89 rules (IDEA), 19 TAC § 247.2 (Texas Educator Code of Ethics), and 19 TAC Chapter 249 (SBEC guidelines).
STRONGLY PREFERRED: Background in law enforcement investigations (such as internal affairs, white-collar crime units, or senior detective roles) or high-stakes corporate fraud/compliance auditing.
State Compliance & Vetting: Must be eligible for immediate registration as a non-commissioned manager under Atropa Group's Master Corporate TXDPS Class C License (#C31171201). Final hiring is contingent upon passing a standard fingerprint-based FBI/DPS background check via IdentoGO, with all state fees covered 100% by the company.
