You are the person who can spot what everyone is talking about, what nobody is saying yet, and what AM:PM should say before the timeline gets bored.

AM:PM is a VC-backed news platform built for short-form video, reels, and fast threads, for Gen Z and millennials who want to stay informed without sitting through a panel of five people agreeing with each other for 40 minutes. We go deep without going slow. We understand internet culture because we live in it, not because we read a report about it.

Why this role matters

AM:PM’s editorial engine needs speed, judgment, and ownership. Every beat needs someone who can source stories, verify claims, build context, find counter-perspectives, and turn the news into platform-native formats every day. You will not wait for stories to be assigned. You will own the beat, the research, the angle, and the quality of what moves forward.

What you will own

• Own 2 to 3 editorial beats and track them daily across mainstream, niche, creator-led, and platform-native sources
• Source 10+ relevant short-form videos, takes, or references per beat every 24 hours
• Identify mainstream narratives, counter-narratives, missing context, and contrarian but credible perspectives
• Verify claims against primary sources, credible secondary sources, official statements, reports, and trusted publications
• Write reel scripts, X threads, short posts, explainers, and briefing notes that are sharp, structured, and easy to consume
• Build and maintain sourcing trackers with links, creator names, rationale, labels, and verification notes
