About the job
Project Manager, Luxury Custom Homes
Landmark Custom Homes | Southwest Ranches, Florida
Full-Time | On-Site
This Is Not a Typical Project Management Position
Landmark Custom Homes builds exceptional custom residences throughout South Florida, including Southwest Ranches, Davie, Parkland, Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Wellington, and surrounding luxury communities.
We are not looking for someone who simply updates schedules, forwards emails, and reacts to problems after they occur.
We are looking for a Project Manager who thinks ahead, accepts ownership, communicates clearly, solves problems creatively, and takes personal pride in delivering an exceptional experience for every client.
At Landmark, our goal is larger than completing a construction project. We build timeless homes that our clients and their families will enjoy for generations. That requires a different level of management, discipline, collaboration, judgment, and attention to detail.
The Landmark Management Ecosystem
Our Project Managers do not operate in isolation.
Project Managers, Superintendents, and company leadership meet weekly to review construction progress, schedules, budgets, quality, subcontractor performance, client expectations, and emerging risks. We use established standard operating procedures while encouraging intelligent discussion, creative problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
We believe the best results come from a team that communicates openly, challenges assumptions respectfully, shares knowledge, and takes collective responsibility for the outcome.
Every decision should support an overarching objective:
Create an exceptional customer experience while building a home of lasting quality, beauty, and value.
The Role
The Project Manager will oversee the planning and execution of high-end custom residential projects from preconstruction through completion and turnover.
This person will work closely with clients, architects, designers, engineers, Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and Landmark leadership to keep each project moving forward with clarity and purpose.
The position requires someone who can see both the big picture and the smallest detail.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and actively manage project schedules, budgets, procurement activities, and critical milestones.
- Coordinate architects, engineers, designers, consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and internal team members.
- Work closely with the Project Superintendent to anticipate field needs and resolve issues before they affect the schedule or client experience.
- Review drawings, specifications, proposals, contracts, change orders, and subcontractor scopes for completeness and accuracy.
- Monitor costs, commitments, allowances, selections, and potential budget variances.
- Lead project meetings and provide clear, accurate, and timely communication.
- Maintain organized project records, correspondence, meeting notes, approvals, and decision logs.
- Track permitting, inspections, material lead times, selections, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify risks early and develop practical solutions.
- Uphold Landmark’s quality standards and insist on accountability from every project participant.
- Build strong, professional relationships with clients and represent Landmark with confidence, discretion, and integrity.
- Participate fully in Landmark’s weekly management meetings, operating procedures, and continuous-improvement process.
The Person We Are Looking For
You may be a strong candidate if:
- You take ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do.
- You naturally anticipate the next problem, decision, or deadline.
- You can have difficult conversations professionally and respectfully.
- You remain organized when managing many people, details, and priorities.
- You understand that communication is one of the most important construction-management tools.
- You are comfortable being held accountable and holding others accountable.
- You care about craftsmanship and notice details that others overlook.
- You enjoy solving complicated problems.
- You understand that luxury clients expect more than a completed home. They expect confidence, responsiveness, transparency, and a well-managed experience.
- You want to grow within a serious organization and contribute value beyond your basic job description.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated project management experience in residential construction, commercial construction, or a closely related field.
- Experience managing schedules, budgets, subcontractors, procurement, inspections, and project documentation.
- Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, scopes of work, and sequencing.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities without losing control of important details.
- Strong judgment and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Comfort using construction-management software, digital plans, scheduling tools, spreadsheets, and project documentation systems.
- Ability to work full-time and on-site in Southwest Ranches and at project locations throughout South Florida.
- High-end custom residential construction experience is strongly preferred.
- A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or a related field is preferred, but meaningful experience, performance, and leadership ability will also be considered.
A Different Kind of Application
We are interested in more than the polished version of your resume.
Along with your resume, please submit a one-page handwritten reflection in your own words.
Please tell us:

- How you feel about the career path you have chosen.
- What motivates you and gets you up in the morning.
- What parts of your work genuinely excite you.
- What you hope to accomplish over the next five to ten years.
- Something about who you are outside of your job title.
- Why you believe you would succeed within Landmark’s management ecosystem.
- What value you believe you could add to our company, our clients, and your fellow team members.
This is not a test of perfect grammar or elegant handwriting. We are looking for honesty, self-awareness, thoughtfulness, ambition, and personal accountability.
Please do not use ChatGPT, generative AI, professional writing services, or another person to generate, rewrite, or polish your response. We want to hear your thoughts expressed in your own natural voice.
Please sign and date the page and include the following statement:
“I certify that this reflection was written in my own words without the assistance of generative artificial intelligence or another person.”
A clear photograph or scanned copy may be submitted with your resume. Candidates who require a reasonable alternative to a handwritten submission may request one.
