IT Support Generalist (Part Time)

About the Opportunity

The IT Support Generalist position provides a critical role by ensuring smooth operations for all the Company. This includes, but is not limited to, providing local Technical Support Services to end users. The position will manage service requests and incident processing for end-user issues. This is an on-site position, working in our office in San Mateo.

The hourly salary range for this position is $25 - $35 per hour for 20-25 hours a week

Responsibilities And Duties

• Provide timely and effective technical support to employees, resolving hardware and software issues, and ensuring minimal disruption to their work.

• Create and maintain detailed documentation of processes, procedures, and IT assets.

• Support AV and conference room technology setup and troubleshooting.

• Help keep users and company resources in line with company policies and industry best practices

• Support AV and conference room technology setup and troubleshooting.

• Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software

• Assist with basic networking tasks such as port patching and troubleshooting network connectivity.

• Order and install computer peripherals for users

• Schedule upgrades and maintenance as needed.

• Transport IT/Facilities equipment between buildings.

• Assist with facilities tasks as needed

Requirements

• Experience in IT technical support and administration for Windows and MacOS is helpful
• Diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to use asset management software and tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of Windows and/or MacOS operating systems
• Familiarity with Linux is a plus.
• Must be able to lift equipment up to 50 lbs and set up desks, ensuring all equipment is properly installed and operational for new hires.

Compensation: The hourly salary range for this position is $25 - $35 per hour for 20-25 hours a week
