About the job

SRC, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Business Development Director to drive strategic growth within our Advanced Radar and Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (CUAS) mission areas. This role focuses on expanding SRC’s footprint across DoW radar and CUAS programs, strengthening relationships within defense acquisition communities, and leading capture strategies for next-generation radar and CUAS capabilities.

This fully remote position is preferred for candidates near Boston, MA, due to proximity to major defense acquisition organizations such as Hanscom AFB.

What You’ll Do

Drive Radar & CUAS Market Growth: Identify, shape, and capture new radar and CUAS opportunities with DoW customers. Maintain expertise in advanced radar systems, CUAS technologies, and unmanned systems sensing applications. Track defense acquisition roadmaps, program lifecycles, and competitive activity in radar and CUAS markets. Lead capture planning, opportunity qualification, and proposal efforts for radar and CUAS programs of record.

Develop High Impact Capture Strategies: Build capture strategies aligned with DoW radar and CUAS acquisition priorities. Engage stakeholders across AFLCMC, Hanscom AFB, and other defense acquisition offices to influence requirements. Identify, pursue, and secure funding streams supporting radar modernization and CUAS capability development. Create compelling win themes and competitive supplier strategies tailored to radar and CUAS pursuits.

Support Product Development & Technology Transition: Translate radar and CUAS operational needs into actionable engineering requirements. Provide customer-driven feedback to guide SRC’s radar and CUAS technology advancements. Collaborate with engineering teams to align product roadmaps with emerging radar and CUAS mission gaps. Support transition of technologies into defense acquisition pathways and Programs of Record.

Grow Existing Radar & CUAS Business: Maintain and expand relationships with current radar and CUAS customers. Partner with execution teams and product engineers to drive growth across existing radar and CUAS product lines. Leverage relationships at Hanscom AFB and AFLCMC to identify new radar and CUAS opportunities.

Communicate SRC’s Defense Technology Value: Articulate SRC’s competitive advantages in advanced radar systems, CUAS detection, and threat mitigation technology. Represent SRC at defense acquisition forums, customer engagements, and industry events. Strengthen SRC’s brand presence across radar and CUAS communities.

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant business development or capture experience in the U.S. defense markets, including air defense, radar, CUAS, or related mission areas
  • Active U.S. Secret security clearance (or ability to maintain) and eligibility for Top Secret
  • Deep understanding of defense acquisition processes, especially within radar and CUAS domains
  • Experience cultivation senior-level relationships within DoW program offices and acquisition organizations
  • Proven experience leading cross functional capture teams supporting radar or CUAS pursuits
  • Residence near Boston, MA with proximity to Hanscom AFB
  • Must be willing to travel up to 25%

Total compensation for this role is market competitive. The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Boston, MA is estimated at $188,000 - $270,000. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's experience, skills, and abilities, geographic location as well as other business and organizational needs. SRC offers competitive benefit options.
