Mechanical Engineer

Position Summary

• The Mechanical Engineer works to improve manufacturing processes for Value Windows & Doors products through collaboration with cross-functional teams and ERP system representatives.
• Responsible for product development, engineering analysis, process improvement, technical documentation, and implementation of manufacturing enhancements.
• Supports new equipment evaluation, installation, and training activities.

Location: This position is fully onsite and requires regular work at both our Duarte and Moreno Valley, CA facilities.

Essential Responsibilities

• Develop standard manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
• Create and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs) within the ERP system.
• Prepare application, shop, cut sheet, and installation drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and DraftSight.
• Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes and efficiency.
• Support ERP inventory management setup.
• Conduct internal AAMA testing.
• Utilize 3D printing for prototype development.
• Collaborate on new product development.
• Support service issue investigations and jobsite inspections.
• Provide manufacturing technical support.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of manufacturing or production experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with metal fabrication equipment.
• Knowledge of Python, C++, XML, or JavaScript.
• Working knowledge of Pro/E.
• Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Chinese preferred.
• Supervisory Responsibilities
• Supervise manufacturing engineering team members.
• Provide tools, training, and resources to internal and external customers.
• Maintain documentation and internal control compliance.
