The In-House Research Program Specialist is a key member of the In-House Manual Research team at Checkr, responsible for providing comprehensive support across various projects and initiatives. This role involves collaboration with team members to ensure the successful completion of projects, the development and facilitation of training programs, and the execution of administrative tasks that contribute to the team's objectives.
What you'll do:
Project Support:
- Assist in the planning and execution of projects related to the In-House Manual Research team.
- Coordinate with team members and stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
- Provide administrative and logistical support to keep projects on track.
Training and Development Support:
- Help in the creation and facilitation of training programs for team members.
- Coordinate with subject matter experts to ensure training content is accurate and up-to-date.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of training initiatives.
Goal Support:
- Support the team in setting, tracking, and achieving short-term and long-term goals.
- Identify potential challenges to goal completion and suggest proactive solutions.
- Help maintain focus on strategic objectives and key results.
Administrative Tasks:
- Perform various administrative tasks including scheduling meetings, managing team communications, and organizing team resources.
- Ensure that all team documentation is kept up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Provide support in budget tracking and expense reporting as needed.
Process Improvement:
- Identify inefficiencies within team processes and propose improvements.
- Assist in implementing new systems or procedures to enhance team productivity.
- Collect and analyze feedback from team members to inform continuous improvement efforts.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among different departments and teams within Checkr.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings and projects, representing the interests of the In-House Manual Research team.
- Share knowledge and best practices with other teams to foster a collaborative work environment.
What you bring:
- 3+ years of experience in operations or other support-based roles.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Experience with creating processes from the ground up to support new functions and create new workflows.
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills that enable effective engagement and collaboration with Checkr's senior leadership across a variety of departments.
- Track record of strategies that have led to operational improvements.
- Understanding of the Fair Credit Report Act, and other compliance laws related to background checks in the United States.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple initiatives at the same time in a fast-paced environment.
- An A-player mindset with a strong bias for action: you raise the bar, move with urgency, stay resilient through ambiguity, and take ownership to deliver meaningful outcomes.
