Controls Software Design Engineer

SUMMARY

This role will be responsible for leading the design, coordination, and development of all control’s software for industrial automation systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• The responsibilities will include developing new PLC programs to meet various customer standards as well as developing new architectures and efficiency tools from scratch.
• This individual will work with and lead small teams as well as work on an individual basis.
• Some travel required

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering or computer design field, or a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related field.
• Control’s design, PLC programming, and integration experience are necessary.
• Capable of working in a hybrid office and remote environment.
• Ability to meet deadlines with short turnaround times.
• Solid organizational and multi-tasking skills required.
• Experience working with GM, Ford, or Stellantis standards.
• Experience with Rockwell and Siemens software as well as all standard Microsoft Office products
• Experience with Ethernet, DeviceNet, Network setup and other communication protocols
• Experience with Robotic systems and various drives and motor controllers
