Full-Stack Software Engineer (Part-Time → FTE Track) — Anuly

Anuly builds a pre-payment claims integrity and editing platform for self-funded health plans, distributed through TPAs. We're looking for a full-stack engineer to join our team in building out the platform, with a clear path to full-time and equity as we grow.

What you'll do

Build features end-to-end using FastAPI (Python 3.12, SQLAlchemy 2.0) and Next.js/React on the frontend
Work with PHI-adjacent healthcare claims data under HIPAA — data integrity and code review discipline matter here
Help shape a system architecture that's still early enough for your decisions to stick
Contribute to ML-driven features that simplify complex claims data processing

Must-haves

5+ years professional experience in production Python, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL
Solid experience with FastAPI (or an equivalent async Python framework) and SQLAlchemy/PostgreSQL
Modern React experience (Next.js App Router, Tailwind) or equivalent (Angular/Vue)
Comfortable with Docker and AWS deployment basics
Real testing discipline — you write tests as part of the work, not after

Nice-to-haves

Healthcare claims / payment integrity domain knowledge
Redis, Alembic migrations, Terraform, ECS/Fargate
LLM application experience (Claude APIs, Bedrock, RAG, Qdrant)
Experience in HIPAA-regulated or other compliance-heavy environments
TDD practice, pytest, Jest, Playwright

Arrangement

Part-time to start, with a defined path to full-time as the company grows
Equity as part of comp, scaling with time commitment and conversion to FTE
Reports directly to Morten and me
