LedgersCFO runs bookkeeping, accounting, tax, and CFO services for 100+ US-incorporated startups with teams in India. We sit on something most AI startups would kill for: real accounting workflows, real financial data, and real domain experts in-house. Now we are building AI into the core of how accounting gets done, from transaction categorization to compliance automation to a financial command center for cross-border founders. You will be one of the first engineers on this, working directly with the founder.

What you will build
AI-powered accounting workflows: LLM pipelines for document extraction, transaction categorization, reconciliation, and compliance checks on live client data from QuickBooks Online and Zoho Books
Internal agents and copilots that make our accountants 10x faster, with the people who use them sitting next to you giving feedback the same day
Our client-facing product: dashboards, API integrations, and reporting for US-India startups
The engineering foundation as we go from services firm to AI-native product company

Who this is for

You are pursuing or recently finished a degree in CS/Engineering, or you can simply prove you can build
You have shipped something with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar), even a side project counts
Solid JavaScript/TypeScript or Python; familiarity with React and REST APIs
High ownership is non-negotiable. You will get problems, not tickets. "Whose job is this?" is not a question we want to hear
You would rather ship a working v1 this week than a perfect v3 next month
Bonus: Next.js, PostgreSQL, RAG/agent frameworks, or any exposure to fintech and accounting
