About the Role
SelfWare is looking for a creative and motivated Web Developer who is passionate about building modern, responsive, and user-friendly web experiences. As part of our growing team, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of our platform while helping create seamless digital experiences for users worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize backend systems, APIs, and server-side applications
• Design scalable architectures and efficient database structures to support platform growth
• Build secure and reliable systems that ensure optimal performance and availability
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product teams, and founders to implement new features
• Integrate third-party services, APIs, and cloud-based solutions
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve application performance and functionality
• Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with best development practices
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code

Requirements

• Knowledge of backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, Java, PHP, Go, or similar languages
• Understanding of REST APIs, server-side architecture, and application development principles
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or equivalent solutions
• Basic understanding of cloud services, deployment workflows, and system architecture
• Strong analytical thinking, debugging, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively in a remote environment
• Passion for learning emerging technologies and building scalable digital products
• Previous projects, GitHub contributions, internships, or portfolio work are a plus
