About the job
The Role
You sit at the intersection of Physical AI capabilities, IT/OT systems integration, and customer enterprise transformation. While similar to our Physical AI engineers, this is a customer-facing solutioning role rather than an active hands-on prototyping position. You will act as the critical bridge between our advanced AI labs and our industrial clients.
Your job is to translate cutting-edge agentic AI models and physical prototypes into scalable, secure, and highly integrated architectures for real-world manufacturing and industrial facilities. You are highly technical, but your true passion is seeing the tangible impact of your architectures through successful customer transformation.
What You Will Do
- Customer Solutioning & Architecture: Architect comprehensive Physical AI solutions that seamlessly integrate advanced AI models with existing IT systems and Operations Technology (OT) on the manufacturing floor.
- Bridge the Digital and the Physical: Translate the capabilities of autonomous AI agents into concrete, scalable industrial workflows. You will take the innovations developed by our hardware hackers and map them to standard industrial automation realities.
- Drive Customer Transformation: Lead technical workshops and deep-dive discussions with client engineering and operational leaders. You will communicate complex AI concepts into actionable operational strategies, making clients feel confident in adopting the Physical AI revolution.
- IT/OT Integration Strategy: Design secure, robust data pipelines bridging modern AI software environments with standard industrial protocols, enterprise systems (e.g., AVEVA PI, SAP, Maximo), and PLCs.
- Impact Realization: Continually align technical solutioning with measurable impact on the actual manufacturing facilities, focusing on execution velocity, safety, and operational ROI.
What We Are Looking For
(Note: The CTO AI office is a strictly AI-first environment - we provide, and expect you to heavily leverage, a Gemini Ultra subscription to accelerate your architectural design, research, and daily workflows so you can focus purely on high-level solutioning and customer success.)
- OT & IT Integration Expert: Deep expertise in connecting modern cloud/IT infrastructure with OT systems. You understand the realities of legacy industrial environments.
- Manufacturing Acumen: A strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain logistics, or energy grids. You must be able to credibly discuss your past impact on actual manufacturing facilities.
- The Transformation Communicator: You possess high emotional intelligence and excellent communication skills. You know how to sit down with senior operational leaders, translate AI hype into structural reality, and guide them through a massive technological shift.
- Highly Technical Foundation: While you won't be soldering microcontrollers daily, you must be deeply technical. You understand APIs, AI agentic frameworks, and system architecture.
- Industrial Automation (Bonus): Hands-on past experience with or strong understanding of manufacturing automation (e.g., standard PLCs like Siemens, Allen Bradley, or Mitsubishi) is a significant plus.
Why Join Us?
This is the ultimate opportunity to apply advanced AI to the physical world with massive real-world stakes 8. You will take cutting-edge AI models out of the sandbox and deploy them at scale, transforming global industries and defining the future of physical operations.
Experience & Education Requirements
Experience: 7+ years dedicated to technical solution architecture, IT/OT integration, or systems engineering, with a proven track record in customer-facing technical leadership.
Domain Expertise: Proven experience working with asset-heavy industries (Manufacturing, Energy, Utilities) and deep familiarity with their IT/OT environments. Must be able to demonstrate past impact on physical manufacturing facilities
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
What We Offer:
Exciting Projects:Come take your place at the forefront of digital transformation! With clients across all industries and sectors, we offer an opportunity to work on market-defining products using the latest technologies.
Collaborative Environment: You can expand your skills by collaborating with a diverse team of highly talented people in an open, laidback environment — or even abroad in one of our global centers or client facilities!
Work-Life Balance:GlobalLogic prioritizes work-life balance, which is why we offer flexible work schedules and opportunities to work from home.
Professional Development:We provide continuing education classes, professional certification and training (technical, soft skills, language, and communication skills) to help you realize your professional goals. Being part of a global organization, there are additional learning opportunities through international knowledge exchanges.
Excellent Benefits:We provide our employees with competitive salaries, health and life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, a matched contribution 401K plan, flexible spending accounts, and PTO and holidays.
