About Nexus

Nexus Mental Performance is building a mental performance company for athletes and high-performance sports organisations.

We began by working directly with professional athletes through personalised programmes focused on competition preparation, focus, recovery, sleep and performance under pressure.

We are now entering an important stage of growth: refining our positioning, structuring our commercial model and developing scalable offers for athletes, academies, clubs, federations and other sports organisations.

The Role

We are looking for an entrepreneurial Founding Growth & Commercial Lead to work directly with the founder across positioning, marketing, partnerships and revenue generation.

This is not a traditional marketing role and it is not a social media management position.

We need someone capable of helping transform Nexus’ experience within professional sport into a clear brand, a strong commercial offer and a repeatable growth system.

What You Will Own

Positioning and go-to-market strategy
Structuring offers for athletes and sports organisations
Brand and marketing strategy
Founder-led content and company communications
Partnerships with athletes, coaches, agents, academies and clubs
Commercial outreach, proposals and revenue generation
Website repositioning and messaging
Coordination of freelance designers, developers and content creators
Support with fundraising materials and investor communication
Who We Are Looking For

Experience in growth, marketing, partnerships or commercial strategy
Strong early-stage startup mindset
Ability to combine strategy with hands-on execution
Excellent written and spoken English
Evidence of having built, sold or grown something
Strong commercial thinking
Interest or experience in sport, tennis, athlete management or high-performance environments
Comfortable working with limited resources and high ownership
Interest in building something meaningful over the long term
Particularly Relevant Backgrounds

Sports-tech founder or early-stage operator
Former professional athlete with strong business experience
Sports marketing or partnerships professional
Athlete manager or agent
Commercial lead from a sports, wellness or performance company
Growth operator with experience building a brand from the beginning
Compensation

This is an early-stage opportunity.

Initial cash compensation is limited and will depend on experience, availability and commitment.

There may be an equity component for an exceptional long-term candidate, subject to role, performance, commitment and standard vesting.
