UI/UX Designer

About the Role

ParamAIQ is building an agentic AI platform for Indian lawyers.

AI alone does not make a product useful. Good design does. Lawyers work under pressure, handle complex information, and need tools they can trust. Your role will be to design a product that fits the way lawyers research, draft, review, and manage legal matters.

You will own the product’s design experience end to end — from research results and document drafting to matter tracking and user workflows. You will work closely with the Product Lead, frontend engineer, and CTO to turn product goals into clear, usable designs.

This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to shape an early-stage B2B product, not simply improve an existing mature design system.

What You Will Own

Product Design

• Design the end-to-end experience for:
  
  • Research module
  • Draft editor
  • Matter Management dashboard
  • Native intelligence layer
• Create user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs for all user-facing parts of the product.
• Simplify complex legal workflows such as research, document review, versioning, and matter tracking.
• Make the product powerful without making it feel complicated.
• Design System and Consistency
• Create and maintain a consistent design language across the product.
• Build reusable components and patterns for the frontend engineer to implement clearly.
• Ensure new features and modules feel like part of one connected product.

B2B and Multi-Tenant Design

• Design for different user roles such as partners, associates, and admins.
• Think through onboarding, permissions, and account-level experiences.
• Design for organisation-level workflows, not just individual users.
• Collaboration and Handoff
• Work with the Product Lead to turn requirements and user needs into design direction.
• Work closely with the frontend engineer during implementation.
• Clarify design intent, handle edge cases, and ensure designs are shipped well.
• Share design input with the CTO on product and technical decisions.
• User Understanding
• Understand how lawyers research, draft, review, and manage matters.
• Use that understanding to guide design decisions.
• Decide where product complexity should be visible and where it should be hidden.

What We Are Looking For

• 4–5 years of experience as a Product Designer or UI/UX Designer.
• Experience owning design end to end, from user flows to high-fidelity designs.
• Experience designing B2B products, preferably complex or workflow-heavy tools.
• Strong skills in:
  
  • Interaction design
  • Visual design
  • Information architecture
• Ability to work directly with engineers during implementation.
• Comfort working in an early-stage environment with changing priorities.

Strongly Preferred

• Experience in legal-tech, compliance, fintech, or other regulated or trust-sensitive domains.
• Experience designing multi-tenant SaaS products.
• Understanding of role-based permissions and account-level experiences.
• Experience building or maintaining a design system in an early-stage product.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with AI-native or agentic products.
• Experience designing for AI-generated content, confidence signals, and human review.
• Experience with data-heavy or document-heavy interfaces.
• Exposure to user research or usability testing in a B2B setting.
