What We're Looking For

We're looking for a Founding Flutter Engineer who wants to build products from zero.

This isn't a maintenance role.

You'll be one of the first engineers at FLOW and will have significant influence over the product, application architecture, engineering standards, and technical decisions from day one.

We're looking for someone who enjoys solving difficult problems, takes ownership, and wants to build something that could impact millions of daily commuters.

What You'll Build

You will work directly with the founders to build the complete mobile experience for FLOW.

This includes:

FLOW User App

The application commuters use to:

• Subscribe to FLOW
• Manage their commute
• View ride confirmations
• Track pickups
• Access trip information
• Manage their account

FLOW Driver App

The application drivers use to:

• Accept assigned routes
• Navigate trips
• Update ride statuses
• View passenger details
• Complete rides
• Communicate with the platform

Your Responsibilities

• Build and maintain both Flutter applications
• Design scalable and maintainable mobile architecture
• Develop clean, production-ready code
• Integrate REST APIs and real-time services
• Work closely with the backend team to define APIs
• Optimize application performance and reliability
• Design clean, intuitive, and user-friendly interfaces whenever required
• Rapidly prototype and iterate on new features
• Participate in product discussions and technical decision-making
• Help establish engineering best practices from the beginning

This Is Not A 9-to-5 Job

FLOW is currently being built outside traditional working hours.

This is a company-building role, not a corporate role.

Most of our work happens after work hours, during evenings, weekends, and whenever problems need solving.

If you're looking for a structured 9-to-5 position, this opportunity is not the right fit.

Think of this as a 5-to-9 role rather than a 9-to-5 role.

The people who join FLOW at this stage are doing so because they believe in the mission, enjoy building, and want ownership in something they help create from day one.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for builders, not just Flutter developers.

You should have:

• Strong experience with Flutter and Dart
• Experience building and shipping production-ready mobile applications
• Good understanding of mobile architecture and scalable application design
• Experience integrating REST APIs
• Familiarity with state management solutions (Bloc, Riverpod, Provider, etc.)
• Ability to design clean and intuitive UI/UX when needed (professional design experience isn't required, but a good product sense is)
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, Windsurf, or similar tools to improve productivity
• Experience using Git and collaborative development workflows
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• High ownership mentality and ability to work independently

Nice to Have

• Published apps on Google Play or the App Store
• Firebase
• Google Maps SDK and Location Services
• Push Notifications
• WebSockets / Real-time communication
• Startup or founding team experience
• Experience building mobility, logistics, marketplace, or transportation applications
