Senior Cloud Infrastructure / DevOps Engineer (AWS / Terraform)

About The Opportunity

Avenue Code is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure / DevOps Engineer to support a major analytics platform modernization initiative for one of Canada's leading digital marketplace companies.

The client is migrating its enterprise reporting platform from IBM Cognos to Amazon QuickSight on AWS OneData. As part of this transformation, this role will focus on building and supporting the AWS infrastructure required to deploy, publish, and operate the new reporting environment in production.

You will work alongside Engineering, Data, and Analytics teams to enable reliable cloud infrastructure, automate deployment processes, and ensure the successful delivery of reporting capabilities across AWS.

This is a highly collaborative, infrastructure-focused engagement ideal for engineers who enjoy cloud automation, production deployments, and supporting enterprise-scale analytics platforms.

This role is available to candidates currently based in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain AWS infrastructure supporting the enterprise analytics platform.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Support production deployment activities and infrastructure automation.
• Configure and manage Amazon S3 storage and delivery capabilities.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Data, and Analytics teams throughout the reporting platform migration.
• Support deployment, publishing, and operational readiness for Amazon QuickSight environments.
• Maintain GitHub repositories and source control best practices for infrastructure code.
• Assist in building reliable reporting delivery capabilities, including alerting and notification mechanisms when required.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and ensure platform stability in production environments.
• Contribute to infrastructure improvements that increase scalability, reliability, and deployment efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
• Experience with Amazon S3, Infrastructure deployment and configuration, Cloud-based data pipeline environments, Terraform (Infrastructure as Code), GitHub and source control workflows.
• Experience supporting production deployments and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure automation and cloud operational best practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice To Have Skills

• Experience within Financial Services or other regulated industries.
• Experience supporting Business Intelligence or analytics platform migrations.
• Familiarity with Amazon QuickSight environments.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development, automation, or developer productivity tools.
• Experience supporting enterprise reporting platforms.

A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is CAD $125,000 to CAD $146,000 yearly.
