About the job
What would you tighten first if the operational layer behind 8,000 students' classes were yours to hold?
On a typical day you might load the week's workbooks to the LMS and student Drive folders before first class in the morning, sort out a scheduling clash with a tutor after lunch, and send the fortnightly class efficiency report to the Head of School with your split-or-merge calls before you log off.
About Contour
We started in 2020 with a handful of students and a belief that great education should not be out of reach. Today we operate across three brands with 8,000+ students and 425+ team members: roughly 100 in India and 325 onshore in Australia. The India team runs publishing, student experience, CRM and technology, operations, and people and culture.
About This Role
You run the teaching week. The resources, the schedules, and the class data all have to be right before students log in, and you are the person who makes that happen. You own the weekly resource pipeline across the LMS, Google Drive, and Podia, the annotation flow, consultations, class and consultation scheduling, attendance, and print orders.
This is a hands-on, high-volume seat. You run the delivery and tighten the systems under it as you go, but the master plan is not yours to own: the content-production plan and the academic calendar come from the Academic Program Manager, and you make each week run on the resources they hand down. You also own class efficiency reporting: you identify classes that are too small, too large, or missing a second tutor, and bring the Head of School a recommendation. The Head of School makes the final academic decisions; you make sure the operational data is accurate. You report to the COO.
By the end of month three, the weekly resource cycle runs without a missing file, consultations and attendance are under control, the schedules are yours, the fortnightly efficiency report lands with clear recommendations, and you are running cleanly against the Program Manager's academic calendar. The first systems you have cleaned up are already saving the team time.
What You Will Do
- Get every weekly resource where it needs to be before class. Upload to the LMS, student Drive folders, and Podia, replace final versions, and check availability daily so nothing is missing at class start.
- Run consultations and scheduling. Consultations are the one-on-one sessions between a student and a tutor. Handle rosters, availability, missed-session checks, and bookings, and own class, consultation, intensive, and Queensland sit-in schedules, catching clashes before they reach a class.
- Read the class efficiency data and act on it. Review the fortnightly numbers to spot classes that are under-capacity, over-capacity, or missing a tutor, and bring the Head of School a clear recommendation to split, merge, or adjust.
- Keep schedules and print orders accurate. Own the class, consultation, and print schedules, produce the weekly Victoria and Queensland print orders on deadline, and work to the academic calendar the Program Manager maintains.
- Track attendance and clear the follow-ups. Check completion, send reminders, fix records, and chase until gaps close.
- If something is still done by hand and a cleaner way exists, make the case and we will back it.
What You Need
- You pick up new tools and platforms fast, and you are strong in Google Sheets: formulas, trackers, and large datasets. Experience with Monday.com or a similar project management tool is highly regarded.
- A record of holding many parallel workflows without dropping accuracy against hard weekly deadlines.
- The ability to read operational data and act on it, not just log it.
- Clear written communication on a remote async team, and ownership by default: you follow up until the next action is confirmed.
- Cross-timezone comfort.
What good looks like
- Nothing missing at class start: every resource is in place before the first student logs in, every week.
- Caught early, not after: clashes, gaps, and missing tutors surface before a class hits them.
- The report drives a decision: the fortnightly efficiency report lands with a recommendation the Head of School can act on.
The practical close
- Fully remote, anywhere in India. Compensation details shared early in the hiring process.
- Apply with a CV and one paragraph on an operational mess you spotted and fixed: what was going wrong, how you caught it, and what you changed so it stopped happening.
