Computer Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Computer Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide technical support, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, maintain computer systems, and ensure users receive timely and effective IT assistance.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and network devices.
Provide technical support to employees and clients via phone, email, remote access, or in person.
Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and security checks.
Set up and manage user accounts, passwords, and access permissions.
Install and update operating systems and business applications.
Monitor system performance and recommend improvements.
Document support requests, solutions, and system changes.
Ensure compliance with company IT policies and cybersecurity best practices.
Assist with network setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting when required.

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience in IT support, help desk, or technical support is preferred.
Knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, computer hardware, and basic networking.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, or remote support tools.
Basic knowledge of network administration and cybersecurity.
Relevant IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or similar) are an advantage.
