On a typical day you might animate a tricky concept in After Effects in the morning, refine an explainer edit and fix its audio after lunch, and post a review cut to Frame.io with a note on what is still open before the end of day.

This role sits in creative production, making the video and motion that carry the Contour brand.

About This Role

You are the editor and animator behind Contour's educational video: you take a brief and turn it into motion, visual aids, and a finished cut that looks considered and sounds clean.
You report to our Content Producer, who owns creative direction, briefs, brand calls, review, and sign-off. You are one half of a two-person production team: your counterpart leads on short-form social, and the educational video and the motion are yours. The split is where each of you sits by default, not a wall, so you pick up short-form when the work calls for it.
The bar here is different in two specific ways. You have an eye for design: where an element sits, how it is spaced, what actually looks good. And you have an ear: you notice when audio sounds wrong and fix it properly, not with a single noise-reduction pass. Contour makes a lot of video, and its quality is what a lot of students see first. The MOGRTs and templates you build get reused long after any single piece ships.

What You Will Do

• Animate and build motion graphics in After Effects, and build, adapt, and apply MOGRTs so graphics stay consistent and reusable.
• Edit and finish to a high standard in Premiere, on brand, with a clean finish: framing, spacing, timing, captions, transitions.
• Cut so the right content lands: the right thing on screen at the right moment, so the teaching is clear.
• Get the audio right: balance levels and fix problems properly, and source licensed music that fits.
• Stay visible, not silent. On a remote async team, being seen is part of the job: current status in Notion, clear updates, and Frame.io feedback closed out.
• Take a rough brief and run with it, making sensible calls and handling urgent work calmly.
• If a better tool or approach would make the work sharper or faster, make the case and we will back it.

What You Need

• Proven, hands-on delivery in Premiere Pro and After Effects, with work you can show.
• Comfort with MOGRTs and Premiere Productions on collaborative projects.
• A real eye for design and a real ear for audio.
• Clear, prompt communication across the time difference, and reliability under deadline pressure.

• Clean and considered: graphics land where they should, audio sounds intentional, problems actually fixed.
• Self-directed: rough brief to strong first version without hand-holding.

The practical details

By the end of your first few weeks, you will be cutting to brand without supervision, have extended the MOGRT library and put it to use, and be turning urgent requests around same-day without being chased. This is a full-time role, initially a six-month engagement, fully remote from anywhere in India. Compensation is competitive and benchmarked to the role, the band, and your experience. We discuss it openly early in the process.
