Here's The Role

Ready for the next step within your engineering career? We are seeking a dynamic Mechanical Engineering Associate to help support our power plant in La Grange Texas! This role is for the best of both worlds while providing an opportunity to break away from the desk and make direct impact in the field. We need someone who is just as comfortable with hands-on troubleshooting equipment, then bringing those real-world insights back to the desk to map out project plans and to craft engineering solutions!

How You’ll Contribute

  • Develop project scopes, specifications, and cost estimates to establish project baselines.
  • Mange vendor relations by reviewing proposals, recommending equipment, and overseeing service execution.
  • Partner with project management to execute and deliver projects successfully.
  • Conduct engineering studies and computations, compiling data to evaluate equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineers and plant personnel to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Design and implement tests on instruments, materials and controls to measure operating efficiency and performance.

How You’re Qualified

  • Bachelors degree in engineering, engineering technology, engineering physics, biosystems engineering, mathematical science, physical science or related science.
  • One or more years of post-Bachelors engineering experience relating to the area of engineering specialization required to perform the job.
  • Driver's license

How You’ll Stand Out

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
  • Texas Engineering-in-Training (EIT) certificate or Professional Engineer (PE) licensed in the State of Texas.
  • Experience in a power generating plant or industrial facility.
  • Project coordinator/manager training or experience.
